Check in was smooth. Front office personnel was warm and helpful. You can actually park ur car either in front or very near to your room. Friendly people all around. The AC was working but the TV is not. Food was good. The USP is that its the only Malay restaurant around the area. Love the bamboo. Hope to see this place flourished and improved. As we were leaving, we saw many cars and patrons coming in.

Apparently, the hotel is an illegal building and without operating license. The state government closed the building for citizen and tourist safety. The local municipal already tore down parts of the building that was built illegally. The owner runs the business and premises illegally.

Witrh the price (cheap) that we paid for the room, we are quite satisfied. We got a spacious room, the bed is comfortable, aircond, tv, heater and everything function quite well. We went up to the tower lookout point, beach and surrounding view to take photos. All the photos turned out beautiful. We also went to take photos at the paddy field, eat mentarang and buy kerepek from the locals.

We were a family of 6. We booked 2 rooms. The receptionist was pleasant and helpful. Rates were cheep but do not expect 1st class service. The bathroom was small. The toilet was leaking and there were tiny worms coming out from the WC. The beds were comfortable and as mentioned earlier, it is no 5 🌟.

Rooms were dusty and small cockroaches having parties under the bed! Toilet flush broken, water tap leaking, i was once wondering if i checked into a haunted house. Food sucks terribly. Staffs so rude and dont even bother your complains. If you wanna break up with your girlfriend or partner, then come to this hotel, it will haunt them forever

The resort is a wonderful surprise for environmentalists. We had nice walks on the offload next to the sea. This is just behind the resort. The flora, especially caught our attention as the indigenous plants were varied and colorful. Herbalists would enjoy it here too. The Redang Beach is about five minutes walk but the sea breeze and the beautiful sunset and dawn were events not to be missed. The climb up the watch tower is an additional attraction as the views are fantastic. Also, we had a great time fishing at the point which was full of "patins". The resort restaurant cooked our two catches of patin and the dinner was awesome! The kids loved the ambience and the environment particularly feeding the frenzied fishes. Anyhow, the suite that we stayed at was large and airy but certain fixtures like the clogged sink has to be maintained. The night staff at the reception too has to be more helpful. Regardless of these minor issues, we will return for another stay at Sekin Resort.…

Rooms had a musky smell, linens are old and stained. The decor is also old and not maintained. Staff service is virtually non-existent; guests were just there to bother them. You need to be early for breakfast otherwise there is nothing left for you!
