Very friendly staff. Double room very comfortable. Shame the TV was out of the ark, and the shower barely had enough pressure to force out enough water for a decent shower. Wifi was not available i the room, only in the pub itself - a cheap booster would sort this. Could be seen as pickey, didnt deter us from our...

Booked online, so I had not realised that they shut during the afternoon (2pm - 5pm). However, they phoned me the day before and waited for us to arrive a little after 2, which was kind and thoughtful. The room was in a separate block out the back of the main building. The room and bathroom were of good size,...

Just had late Mothering Sunday meal with a party of 13 of us. The staff were very friendly and helpful, promptly taking us to our table. The food was most enjoyable, perhaps not child friendly as such but it was a special Mother's Day menu. We all enjoyed our meal.....had to eat my words with pudding. My husband ordered a...

Dropped by on the off-chance with friends and was very pleasantry surprised. A very nice Inn with a roaring log burning fire creating a welcoming ambience. The staff were friendly and helpful - my wife is wheat and diary intolerant and they were more than accommodating with their menu, not having to be promoted to swap out the bread for...

Stopped at the wild boar overnight while working in the area, we were greeted by the owner, very friendly and helpful. Our room was a twin which was clean, comfortable and very warm. We had an evening meal which was excellent and the breakfast the next morning was just as good. Well worth the money.

Popped in here for lunch on a weekend in November, we were worried they might have stopped serving food but they assured us they had. There was no one else dining in the restaurant, in fact there was no one else in the pub at all save the bar staff and ourselves. Probably not the best sign! We were handed...

On the 21st November 2015 I married my soul mate, and we had our wedding reception at the golden boar. They could not have done enough for us! The food was brilliant and not a single bad word has been said by any of our guests day or evening. They were welcoming, helpful, and did everything we could have asked...

Visited here whilst visiting the new Hoseasons site at the local stud park and had asked for a local good pub and was directed here. We were fitted in though we hadn't booked and staff were friendly and polite. Looking at other reviews on here, there may be problems with the b&B but there are none with the restaurant. Hubby...
