This is a budget accommodation therefore it attracts families with loud screaming children. The resort is built around a common pool that is basically just a few feet from your room door. Parents let their children out to play and scream early in the morning before 8am. The resort really does need some rules and enforcement here because these Malay families are very inconsiderate to others who stay here. Having said that, you can walk to a nice stretch of beach. The staff are friendly and moved us when the aircon was not working correctly. General rule of thumb, if you don't want to go to a place inundated with families and their noisy brats, pick a place without a pool, rent a car, and drive or walk to the beach.
located in a quieter stretch of Cenang, yet walking distance to some restaurants and shops this place neat with well kept landscape and friendly and helpful staff. A 3 minutes walk to the beach from the backyard, The path however can get quite dark walking back after sunset. Overall, very good stay and would definitely want to return!
It was great to stay in this beautiful resort very recently for 3 days/2 nights. Welcomed by a big smile from all the staff, I was the only guest in this resort. It’s very well maintained, clean and in a beautiful garden/forest. The swimming pool is so inviting and the beach is less than 3 minutes walking distance away. You can’t expect a 5-star-hotel, but it gave me a good feeling, that I’ve supported the local business a bit.It would be great and better if the breakfast, which is very huge and delicious, can be provided in the the beautiful library.
Again great stay management and staff 100% cannot do enough for you close to shops, bars restaurants, 10 to 15 minute walk into the main strip (heat dependent) the in house Malaysian restaurant is superb, great to experiment. We will be going back in the very near future again we have stayed there many time we make it our base while we island hop.
This is the perfect place if you want some peace and quiet, close to a long sandy empty beach, with a good selection of restaurants within a 10 minute walk. We loved it here! We came by ferry from Ko Lipe and got a taxi from Telaga Harbour in the north of Langkawi down to Tropical Resort (about 30 mins). The airport is only 10 minutes from Tropical Resort by taxi. Some rooms face the swimming pool and others face away on the beachside. We had one of the latter and were delighted with it. There are a couple of chairs and a table outside each room and also a few sunbeds so you didn't have to go round to the pool for a sunbathe. It was a 3 minute walk down the private sandy track from the hotel to the beach (Pantai Tengah), ideal for early evening strolls. Lots of signs warning about jellyfish but that might be at certain times of the year. The room was great, very spacious, effective a/c, a fridge, daily water bottles and a large modern bathroom. If you turn right out of the hotel and walk down the road for 5-10 minutes, you'll find a good selection of restaurants and bars. If you turn left out of the hotel, you'll come to the shops of the busy Pantai Cenang area after about 20 minutes. We particularly appreciated that the hotel was on the beach side - many hotels are on the other side of the road to the beach - so you can just stroll down to the beach in a bikini. Breakfast (included in the price) is taken at the restaurant next door. I'd read some poor reviews of breakfast but I have to say that their omelettes are the best I've ever had! Unfortunately the 'fresh' coffee never seemed to be fresh and really wasn't drinkable. Instant Nescafe coffee and a kettle are provided in the room so the problem of our morning caffeine fix was easily solved! Would definitely stay here again.…
