We had a great 3 night stay at Ambong-Ambong rainforest retreat. We got a great view of the forest and managed to see some monkeys in the early mornings. Our room had all the basic amenities and more. The service was especially great and the staff are not only friendly but very helpful. We deeply appreciate the care and thought of the staff members when we needed help or recommendations for the area. Looking forward to coming back!

Our second visit to this hidden GEM in Langkawi 3 of us Stayed at a two bedroom retreat Split level One room up One room down Huge spaces. With plenty of give aways. Waking up early to sound of birds chirping is awesome The breakfast is filling Local n western At the Rimba Retreat constructed amidst a tropical jungle.. Trees not fell if possible A road up.. Have to park ur car at the entrance. Transport up n down provided By friendly staff Thanks Putra n Pest One warning Dont let ur windows open Unless u want monkeys to peep in NO REGRETS.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the 6* staff really gave us very good service! Always with a smile. The setting was magical nestled in the rainforest. Our suite looked out to the sea through the forest and the sunset was post-card picturesque. We wanted to experience a change from all the other highly marketed resort in Langkawi and I’m glad that we chose Ambong Ambong. it was just as easy to drive to Ell’s club for our game of golf as we have your own rented car although the resort was more than happy to arrange to drive us there. We had no time to experience Amaala spa although I’ve heard so much about it but will definitely try it the next time. We are planning to come with the whole family and spend more time there to allow participation in the many activities offered by the resort. I’ll definitely go for at least a massage. Thank you Akane and the other staff who made our stay memorable. We will be back for sure!…

My second stay at this hidden gem immersed within a beautiful tropical jungle located on a hilltop. My friend and I were greeted at the airport by Solahin who whisked to the resort in no time. We were welcomed by the warm smiles of the resort hosts who immediately made us feel at ease. I was happy to be back to see Akane and Ibah who are amazing! We booked the Rainforest Studio which had a balcony that overlooks the Andaman Sea and surrounded by tall trees where the hornbills and dusky leave monkeys were frequently spotted. So if you’re in for a treat of a tranquil and refreshing respite from the hustle bustle of city life, this is the perfect spot to relax and recharge. In-room dining is available and a cosy kitchenette with a full size fridge and microwave. So you need not leave your studio or suite at all if you choose not to. However I highly recommend a meal or two at Rimba restaurant as the local and western dishes were so delicious! Thank you Ambong Rainforest Retreat family, cannot wait to be back!!!…
