Although we came to this casa particular quite late, Mr. Ricardo was more than happy to prepare us a delicious red snapper. His suggestion to go snorkeling to Punta Perdiz the next day was also crucial. Let alone the fact that he actually does speak English...

We stayed 4 nights at this casa with its beatiful outdoor kitchen, where you can watch Ricardo preparing your fantastic food. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the next beach, but if you are planning to go snorkeling or scuba diving, there is a bus which picks you up in front of the casa in the morning. Ricardos...

We stayed two nights at KS Abella, this was a side trip for more snorkelling that wasn't really planned but needless to say, I am so glad we did. The hosts were very welcoming and Ricardo and his son spoke good English. Welcome drinks (free), awesome fresh fish dinner (12 CUC) and my oh my delicious breakfast for (5 CUC)....

The house is really nice and the family makes you feel like at home. The dinner for 10 CUC is a bargain since the fresh seafood provided is of excelent quality and well cooked. It is 500m from the beach. The only problem we encountered during our stay was that due to a problem with the heater we did not...

We visited when the father ("chef") of the house was away, but this did not matter at all and perhaps made it even better. The food was amazing ( lion fish, shrimps, soup) but not only that, the care and attention that mother and daughter paid to setting the table, providing us with lovely smoothies on arrival and making sure...

We spent 3 nights here in the beginning of June and had a great experience. Welcoming and helpful hosts, clean accommodation and awesome cooking. Really, the food made this place stand out amongst the other places we stayed at in Cuba. We can also highly recommend going snorkeling with son of the house. The only thing to look out for...

The food here was the most delicious during our 16 day journey through Cuba. Ricardo worked as a chef for a hotel once. And you definitely notice that by the way he arranges and serves dinner. Though Playa Giron itself hasn't much to offer, but deserted landscape, the food here, as well as the snorkeling tour organized by Ricardos son,...

Ricardo is a nice guy but before you eat or drink check the prices. We did not, and he took advantage of that. 7 cucs for 2 cups of coffee in the morning!!! " Welcome" drink also had a price. A little too greedy for my liking and the fact that the guest room sits in between their kitchen/dining room...
