The perfect escape from the hussle and bussle of life! A very warm welcome from Christine. Such a lovely lady! Peaceful and idyllic location. Do as little or as much as you want to, with country walks 360 and local attractions just a short journey away. The barn was perfect, very comfortable and had everything we needed and more!! We...

The accommodation is first class and the location is perfect for getting away from it all. Highly recommended. Ideal for couples, or those wanting a rest from it all. Surrounded by lovely countryside.

After the long drive up from London, this was just what we needed! Christine (and her lovely pooch) greeted us at her farmhouse as we arrived and showed us into the beautifully converted apartment on the top floor of the separate barn. I don't think the fact it is not a whole cottage detracted from our stay. On occasions you...

This was our second visit and just as good as the first. The cottage has everything you could need with comfy sofas and a well-equipped kitchen. The underfloor-heated bathroom and beautiful view from the bedroom are lovely. It's a short walk to Robin Hood's Stride (featuring in The Princess Bride) and a short drive from other good walks and the...

Situated perfectly if you want to do some decently long or (what we prefer) some more modest walks, the secret feels like a real hideaway. A tranquil and completely rural setting, you really can get away from it all if that's what you want. The apartment is gorgeous, with everything you could wish for - a well equipped kitchen, a...

We arrived, our group of two couples on a Saturday afternoon. Christine, the owner, who lives on site, was there to welcome us as we drove down the country track into the large parking area. We were then shown round the property - The Secret upstairs and The Haven downstairs. Also there to welcome us were home-made cake, a bottle...
