I use to love his place for a special occasion meal. However, I have been back for over 5 years. I read about the redecoration of the dining room and the new menu. We went there on Saturday night and it was fantastic. The room reminded me of a New England Inn and the food was suburb. The four of...

Wonderful accomodations, very charming and comfortable. Quiet ambience, fantastic restaurant, superb cuisine, great wine choices. For a foodie and wine lover, it doesn't get much better than this! Highly recommend.

This B&B was so enjoyable. You need to have at least two days and nights minimum to fully enjoy the surroundings. Hotel decor is very inviting. Restaurant for breakfast is delicious. There are very good restaurants close by. There are various vineyards to occupy your time. Will certainly go back again. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

We just got back from our second trip to the Ballard Inn. We like this place a lot and look forward to returning. We did have an issue - we booked into the Davey Brown room which has a really cool decor. Problem is that it is right over the kitchen and the industrial strength exhaust fan was loud and...

Bodied for 2 nights. Christina was incredibly helpful with planning local itinerary. Great recommendations and personal attention. I would recommend calling in advance of visit to plan visits to wineries and dining reservations.

Breakfast was a complete surprise of fresh fruits, bake goods and personalized orders on/or off the menu, all including with the room. Chef/ owner makes the world of difference. The walk around the neighborhood is quiet, safe and refreshing.

We simply can't say enough good about this place. We have stayed here three times and there's no question that we will go back. The rooms are wonderfully decorated, immaculate, and nicely sized. B&B beds and linens can be a bit marginal, but not here—theirs are very comfortable. We particularly enjoy the Mountain Room, in part because it's at the...

We made a reservation over the phone 4 months in advance for a 2 night stay (the hotel told me they had a 2 night minimum stay because of Sat. night). So, I booked the 2 nights even though I told the person on the phone that we didn't want to stay 2 nights b/c the party we were going...

We recently returned from 2 weeks in California, and our favorite place to stay, by far, was the Ballard Inn in Ballard, CA. Our room ("Davey Brown") was decorated in a lovely western style, and was very comfortable. The happy hour in late afternoon was great: stocked with delicious appetizers and plenty of wine, and the opportunity to mingle with...

A stay at the Ballard Inn is a must when you are in the Valley's wine country. Centrally located between Los Olivos and Solvang, the Inn is a home away from home. The amenities include an outstanding breakfast, afternoon wine tasting and appetizers. The rooms are great and the Staff fantastic. We highly recommend the Ballard Inn!
