Detailed Reviews
We stayed at Cottage Cut Villas for 2 glorious weeks during September. This was our third trip to Exuma and we have stayed at other properties on the island.
There are three villas and we stayed in Villa 1. The villa is lovely and has everything you need - there are 2 enormous bedrooms with 2 kingsize beds in each, together with en-suite. It was really clean, there is an abundance of towels and extra bedding, everything you need in the kitchen (if you choose to cook) and even candles for the odd occasion when power goes out in Exuma (that is the whole island, not related to the property). The sitting area is comfortable and there is a dining table inside, and a patio table outside. You have full access to the wonderful laundry facility - which means you don't need to take suitcases of dirty clothes home. That was a great perk for us. Also, the wifi was really good (for Exuma) - previously we have always found it a bit sporadic (or not there at all) but there is a router directly in the villa.
All of the villas are directly on the beach which makes morning coffee on the terrace a real joy - and somewhere handy to cool down!
Don't be put off by the drive into Cottage Cut. As you go around Exuma, you will see many of the roads are exactly the same. Exuma isn't a place of highways and fancy driveways. Eric, who owns the villas, was extremely helpful, courteous and like all Bahamians in Exuma, would go out of his way to do anything for you.
As I say with all of my Exuma reviews, you will get the best of the island if you rent a car as there is no public transport and you need to explore all of this beautiful island! Also, if you arrive late on a Saturday, you can't buy booze until the Monday - the shops close around 6.30pm and you cannot buy alcohol on a Sunday. It's worth asking the owner of the property you are staying in to get you some if you need it!
If you're off to Exuma, definitely give Cottage Cut a try.

You can always count on Sharlene & Eric to be incredibly accommodating and responsive – we are looking forward to coming back and staying at Cottage Cut again soon. I have been to Exuma more than 60 times and this is by far the best value on the Island! Cottage Cut is my "go-to" place to stay every time I come...

Good location and communication- everything you need to enjoy your stay in Exuma. We used this as a landing pad while we explored the island- it was perfect for this. I would definitely stay again. Very clean and large.

This was the perfect getaway spot for my family. The villa was very clean and the location was ideal. The owners are very nice and they even stopped by just to see we needed anything. I will be going back very soon.

+1
What a peaceful place Cottage Cut Villas is.
We stayed in Unit 3, the unit is large with two bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms.
There are two double beds in each bedroom.
The Kitchen / Diner / lounge is a large space.
The outside terrace is massive with steps leading down to the private beach.
The kitchen is fully equipped and we were able to cook most nights.
Cottage Cut Villas is a home away from home.
If you decide to opt for Cottage Cut Villas you will not be disappointed. There is even a laundry on site which was excellent for us. You will also need to hire a car to get you out & about to see the beautiful beaches that Great Exuma has to offer.
