We came here to stay here a fortnight ago, Valentines weekend. We had a package with Secret Escapes which did not include the valentines meal as I had booked back in December. We received an email though asking if we should like the special V meal for a supplement which I declined as We were quite happy with what We...

I cannot comment on the rooms, main meals etc, as we were not staying at the hotel. The occasion was my wife's birthday and I had booked a table for 6 for afternoon tea. Unfortunately on the morning it transpired that 2 of the guests were unable to come due to illness, but the hotel dealt with the change easily...

Stayed here 1 night on a business trip, beautiful hotel, friendly staff. Had food in the bar which was lovely with attentive service. My room was large, traditional, cosy and warm with everything I needed. Just one downside was the huge fire in reception gave out so much smoke that by the time I left I had such a sore...

Champagne afternoon tea, not the best I've had. Sandwiches and Scones very lovely but the cakes were terrible. Some undercooked gloopy carrot cake, half raw pastry on what we think we're egg custards (couldn't be sure) Service was not the best, no one checked if we were OK and forgot to give us a strainer (bit late once the tea...

Lovely old building. Had a new room booked and it was totally amazing. Arrived very late so did not have a chance to do much else. The bed was comfy, the room was spotless and I slept like a baby. The building is gorgeous and very warm and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful.

This place was such a let down, it looks beautiful and the rooms are enchanting however the customer service was shocking. we waited and waited to be served only to go and ask the waiter to serve us. Food arrived after having to ask for it after an hour! at which point it was cold! was offered a free bottle...

Good building, good rooms. Was good for our anniversary. But it was ruined by poor service and food in the restaurant. Beautiful manor but I would eat out. Junior suite was big, quiet and lots of privacy.

We just had a night at The Manor. A group of eight ladies without husbands for a night away and The Manor ticked all the right boxes. Friendly staff, clean rooms (if you overlook the stained carpet - I think they let dogs into the rooms in the Coach House). We asked for 4 twin rooms only to find two...

My husband booked the two night bed, breakfast and evening meal package as a treat for my birthday. I only knew about the hotel as I had been diverted off A34 once and had passed it by car. I thought it looked very pleasant and had wanted to try it out. It isn't very far from where we live in...

The manor was quite beautiful and the bedrooms a surprising size and comfort. Very clean. The bar itself was very compact and cold lunch quite average. However, noticed people ordering the hot options looked good so perhaps we didn't go for the best option. The dinner menu was limited so we decided to dine out. Service was slow but staff pleasant....
