A busy weeknight crowd made service a little stretched. A huge menu must have added challenges in the kitchen too; clearly catering for a diverse crowd so ranging from pizzas, burgers, steaks and parmas to some really interesting more restauranty fare. Well selected wine list of mainly smaller producers drew you towards the $50 plus mark but some nice options....

Nice atmosphere, good food and good selection of beverages with nice craft beers. Lots of locals frequent the place. Service is good too. They also have accommodation above the hotel, clean serviceable rooms.

The plain exterior does not prepare you for the upmarket restaurant/bar inside. A time travel experience. We stopped for lunch. The staff were very friendly. Nice menu but a bit expensive for a spot of lunch, so we shared a pizza.

Centrally located, Rooms are above the lively Pub yet music was not overwhelming and stopped @11pm. I didn't eat but the menu offered a wide variety of selections Room was well appointed and very clean. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were spotless! Recommend.

I can't fault the Plough Hotel Footscray. For the money it's great and just gets better. It's rare around here) to an almost boutique, professionally run oasis. The restaurant downstairs is excellent...

We have been let down by our favourite Footscray pub so we're looking for a new favourite. Today we found it. Out standing service from Brooke (who used to work at our old favourite) and absolutely delicious food. My husband and I both had the rack of lamb which was tender pink and juicy and served with delicious veggies, the...

Came from interstate and had to meet family in Footscray but didn't book a hotel room but knew Plough hotel had rooms. Very impressed by the quality of the room. Has been renovated to what I consider to be 4 star quality. Had dinner there too which was nice and well priced. Staff were helpful and polite and helped recommend...

I have been going to The Plough for years. The food is normally pretty good & depending on what your order the pricing is ok. We ordered a variety of dishes steak tartar pizzas duck lasagne steak & quite a few sides. The food was great. However the crust on the pizza was very thin & quite dry & crispy....
