Just about everything was pretty much fine. Main negative was the TV picture quality. which was a little low by today's standards, and the remote was quirky. I also noticed that both pictures above the 2 Queen beds were the same picture, which is a little weird. Plenty of towels in the shower on a handy rack inside the shower. Property is well kept and clean.
I do think the mini-refrigerator in the corner of the room should not be on constantly 24 hours a day regardless of anyone is in the room. This wastes energy unnecessarily, and it makes a distracting hum noise that requires turning it off anyway. It should be unplugged until someone reserves the room and signs in, and there should be a handy switch to turn it off and on.
I used points, but the standard cash/credit rate is probably a little high. I don't recall the website stating that there was a free breakfast, and an exercise room, which would not effected my stay or whether I stayed there, but should be mentioned clearly. The free breakfast like most has limited vegan options.

This hotel was a nice place to relax at. It has free parking. The beds are comfortable and the flat screen tv is adequate to look at. The hotel is situated in a nice quiet area, with plenty of stores nearby to shop at. They have a continental breakfast provided for you in the morning. They also have a conference room, if needed for socializing with family. They have a beverage and snack area at an additional charge for your convenience. The hotel also provides a washer and dryer on the first floor for your convenience, at an additional charge. They have free wifi and a small fitness area to work out in. The only draw back is that the hotel doesn't have a elevator to transport your luggage if your room is on the second floor. It also has daily housekeeping. The front desk is very hospitable and can help you with restaurant choices and locations for lunch or dinner. I would stay here again.

Clean, Friendly, Comfortable. Great breakfast “grab & go”. Front desk staff was friendly & very helpful. Rooms were very clean, beds & pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast area was clean & very tasty. When back in the area will stay again.

The great price is what places this motel "above average" compared to the other chains in the Tom's River area. I found the rooms to be 1/3 to 1/2 less costly, with the same basic amenities you'd expect from any chain. It's only 5 minutes further from the Jersey shore beaches, but the cost drops dramatically in that distance. Nonsmoking rooms are spacious, updated and clean; friendly staff. Hotel coffee is from a machine, but Dunkin Donuts are everywhere - treat yourself with what you save on your room! Be sure to give the hotel's phone number to your emergency contacts: the cellphone reception is very poor to nonexistent at the hotel, but walk down the road a bit, and it's full. I'll definitely stay here again.

I just checked into the hotel. I'm on a work trip so I'm not looking for crazy amenities. The hotel is clean, located near where I have to conduct business. The staff is nice and the price is very reasonable. If it's near where you have to go, its a good value.

Average. This is a classic Comfort Inn where you receive a clean room and breakfast for a reasonable price. The staff was very nice. The owner came around during breakfast and asked if everything was ok. The walls are thin so you do hear your neighbors. You do not hear the noise from the highway (Route 37) at the front of the hotel.
If you are deciding between this property and the Comfort Inn in Toms River on the same road - pick the other Comfort Inn on Rt 37 EAST. The sleep quality was much better.

Hotel is clean and such no problem there. Was up all night because of guest screaming stomping up e down stairs slamming of doors! If you stay here DO NOT ACCEPT ROOM 101 which is closest to desk and doors!

We stayed here on business in December for work on the barrier island. The room was clean and the service was great. The responsiveness of the staff was great to our needs. The continental breakfast is average for this priced room.

Location is off a main thoroughfare and not within walking distance to any services (food, drink, etc.). Staff was catatonic....everyone I encountered was going through the motions and would only speak (as in good morning or hello) if I spoke to them first. Room was standard but poorly supported with power plugs. They had a desk to work and free wi-fi but all of the plugs were under the desk and already used by lights, fridge, microwave etc. Really? Why even have a desk here? Same at the bedside: only plug was behind the bed accessible only by removing the mattress. The breakfast was included but did not have an adequate selection of healthy options, which is a negative. This seems like an old property with no significant updates that frequent travellers expect. It met basic needs but not by much. If you only need a room and a shower, this place may be fine. If you need or expect more, then keep looking. I plan to avoid this property in the future.

I wish that I could help you but I wasn't at the hotel when the gun was supposedly discharged. I'm sorry that I cannot help you any further.
This property is pet friendly. We had a small terrier with us so you might want to call for larger dogs.
