We stayed for one night and were impressed by the friendly, helpful hosts, the excellent breakfast and the comfortable, spotlessly clean rooms. The setting is superb. Would have no hesitation in recommending Gwaenygog Farmhouse.

We travelled with our daughter and her husband in England and Wales. We had a great experience at Geaenynog Farmhouse. Fiona and Norman were very resourceful in helping us plan what we could do in Wales during the few days we were visiting. The farmhouse was very warm and cozy and gave us that at home feeling. Our breakfast was...

Fiona and Norman were most accommodating and it felt like home from home. A great three days stay. The breakfasts and meals were good with plenty of choice. Being able to have our own wine with the meals ( corkage fee apolies) was enjoyable and then make use of the lounge area after a days walking.

Our booking was handled very well, with lots of information on the B&B itself and the surrounding area. Locating the place is best done with an up to date satnav but there are signs around the local roads just in case. We received a warm welcome and shown to a lovely room. The water in the shower takes some time...

Lovely B&B/Campsite. We were meant to camp but the weather was appalling so we stayed in the B&B instead. Still managed our BBQ in the barn as it was too wet to stay in the open! Breakfast was great, good sized portion and a good start to the day.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Gwaenynog is a beautiful farmhouse in a quiet and scenic location, surrounded by 16 acres of land - a mixture of fields, woods and wetland; there's a lot of wildlife and flora, plus a variety of birds, including Peregrines and our resident Tawny Owl. There are extremely comfortable beds, powerful showers, generous towels, lovely shower gels and shampoos, a choice of teas and coffee in all the rooms with fresh milk, flat screen TV's with Freeview & DVD players, and free wifi; all with varying views from every window. We offer tea and homemade cake or biscuits after your journey to help you unwind, between 4-6pm. Relax in the guest lounge or out on the patio if the sun is shining. After a relaxed night's sleep rise for a leisurely cooked breakfast of locally produced ingredients or perhaps something lighter. Our breakfasts are plentiful and varied - made for vegetarians, coeliacs or other allergies too - if you let us know in advance; and all made from the best local produce. Bordered by ancient woodland and hedgerows that offer seclusion, the campsite offers some wonderful views. You can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet that is synonymous with Gwaenynog. Quiet country lanes, ideal for walking or cycling, can join up with marked walks such as Glyndwr's Way or Ann Griffiths walk (a mile away); or utilise other public footpaths and bridleways that cross the surrounding farmland. Or walk to the local pub (2.5m). And now, are you thinking of getting married somewhere rural and connected with nature? Then why not come to Gwaenynog. We're now licensed to offer civil partnerships and marriages in our barn or guest lounge. The only restriction is your imagination and budget. So, why not visit Mid Wales - it's worth a look. ... more   less
