We arrived in Dewalokam after 2 weeks in Northern India and immediately fell in love with the place. We visited in the off season which meant there was only us and another couple staying with Sinta and Jose. The peace and tranquility were exactly what we needed after the hustle and bustle of the north and the hospitality we received...

We stayed at Dewalokam for just one night in March this year, but it was 2 days we will always remember. What a peaceful place! I travel to India on a monthly basis but have not once experience such peace and tranquility as at DFR. The family, the meals the food and the yoga were most enjoyable, and the tranquility...

The hospitality, food, service, friendliness was just wonderful. We went with 3 kids (11,9 and 7). we had yoga on the lawn first thing in the morning, (with the kids too) followed by breakfast. Snacks throughout the day, lunch and dinner all so varied and truly delicious. A cooking demo, a guided tour around the spice garden, daily swims in...

What more can I possibly say about this place that hasn't already been said?! It really was the best place I have ever stayed, we went for three nights but we could of happily stayed there for our entire two weeks. From the warm welcome to our sad goodbye, we were looked after every step of the way by our...

My husband, two children (ages 10 and 13) and myself stayed at this delightful farm in February, and it was one of the highlights of our entire South India trip. The family who runs it--the warm and kind Jose and Sinta and their two wonderful children, Tara and Paul--are committed to ensuring that their guests feel welcome and cared for....

We arrived to a traditional Keralan welcome, by Sinta and her fellow workers. This family run homestay is amazing. Jose took us round the garden and showed us all the herbs, fruits, flowers and animals that the farm has. Sinta is always making sure her guests are happy. We watched the chef cook part of the evening meal. Which always...

Where shall I start? Early-morning yoga in the shala (complimentary btw) with an excellent teacher, followed by a dip in the beautiful pool a few feet away? The lovely family who run the place and their very cool kids. We had a very comfortable and sunny room on the first floor, with a view of the garden. The staff couldn't...

Having just returned from a 5 week holiday in India, I cannot recommend Dewalacam highly enough. We stayed at the Imperial in Delhi, had a suite at the Lake Palace in Udaipur, stayed in a Mahararjah's suite in a 400 year old fort in Rajastan, even had our own private swimming pool at the hotel down south but nothing comes...

Located ten degrees above the equator in the state of Kerala, Dewalokam offers a unique lodging experience. It could be described as a combination high-end eco-lodge, spice farm and rubber plantation. It has the amenities of a fine hotel, plus exposure to the flora and fauna of southern India. Your innkeepers are college professors, and have a lovely family.

Beautifully run homestay with a stunning location on the bank of a wide section of river in the jungle. The entire family and staff welcome you warmly and do their best throughout your stay to meet all your needs to perfection. We are not an easy family with 3 small children, requesting different food tastes, times and activity schedules etc...
