Our studio room was comfortable and well equipped, with a very comfortable bed. Also, having laundry facilities was great. The large gable end window was our favourite place to sit and look out at the lovely well cared for pool - and the view of the beautiful river Dordogne beyond. A very nice restaurant - samll menue because the food is freshly prepared and well presented. Friendly service with a big smile, nice choice of regional wine. Lovely views over the river from the covered terrace. The evening we were there, live music to go with a very good meal.

Spent 4 nights here in self catering apartment with a terrace overlooking the Dordogne river. Very handy for visiting all the attractions of the area. Sarlat, Rocamadour and many beautiful villages very close. Also a rather eccentric 18 hole golf course 10 mins. away. Apartment spacious and well equipped. Attached restaurant serving excellent food. Staff( mainly English ) very helpful.

We were staying locally (in a Chateau for 22 people) so did not rent a room in Le Chapeau Melon but thought we had to write about the services we did use. Staying at Le Chapeau Melon was a pleasure, from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. We stayed in a studio which had a double bed, single bed, sofa, kitchen, dining area and bathroom and was clean and comfortable (the fridge even had milk in it!). Very nice apartment looking out onto river, small but there was all 5 of us staying in there and kids spent most of the time in the pool! Adequate cooking facilities for basic meals. Everything about this hotel is first class, food, rooms and attention to detail, the whole team are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. we will stay there again..and again...
