140 miles out of Calais, all on motorway with a toll of 9 euros. By Rouen. For us it was a quick pitstop after a late ferry with an early start. Easy to find behind a carwash! on a main road, not far from the motorways. It was clean, didn't smell, it was quiet. Food was OK, better tasting nutella...

OK, my fault, really didn't know about lack of ensuite. Luckily we told teh kids that was the norm in France and got away with it. Once I'd got over my snobbery and saw it for what it was it was OK. Don't eat at Hippopotamus up the road, anything you save at F1 is gone big time. Not great...

My husband and I stayed here last night. We got to reception and asked for a double room the lady looked at us and said twin room. My husband is 16 yrs older than me perhaps she thought I was his daughter. Anyway we said fine we also ordered breakfast. Got to the room and it was so damp and...

What a horrible place. No en suite. Communal toilets and showers dirty and inconveniently situated. Whole place dirty and smelly. Frightening people throughout. Very noisy all night. 'Bed' is a 10cm mat on an mdf box frame. No linen for bunk beds. One towel per room of three people. And it took us 45mins to find the place in the...

A tired F1 with the flavour of a run down cheap US Motel with the ambience to match. The hotel is on litter strewn uncared for land with a high security fence that has holes cut in it. The stench of cigarettes and stale sweat in the place was quite overwhelming and backed up by cigarette burns on the room...

This is a typical Formule 1, no frills. Actually it probably warrants 3.5 stars for value; the price was excellent. Online booking all fine, no issues with the room. WiFi worked well, which is a bonus. I've stayed here several times before so know how to get there, its easy to miss the turnoff from the Avenue des Canadiens if...

We have stayed here before so booked again. The hotel is quite easy to find if you travel slowly down the road. You get what you pay for. A budget hotel, we have stayed in so many Formule1 hotels and they do vary. Free wifi but I think it's about time they got some air con as the rooms are...

We stayed here on a run down to La Palmyre a couple of weeks ago. Booked online in advance and the five of us stayed for less than £40. Found it okay with the satnav reference provided on the HotelF1 website. Rooms are standard F1 stuff and were modern and clean. Couldn't fault the value. Sorrounding area has two or...

HotelF1 is a great concept, but the price is just too high to be considered budget. I arrived around 10pm after driving around the city looking for the location (never would have found if not for sat-nav). The front car park gate was closed at this hour. The pedestrian gate was also locked, so I had to ring the front...

We followed the address info given on the F1 website. 2 separate addresses - both wrong! Spent a lot of time therefore driving about getting nowhere. However, once you find it this is a standard F1 hotel. Rooms have been renovated, they are clean and comfy. The shared facilities could do with a bit of TLC but were clean if...
