We just happened to spot this place en route to Avignon. We stopped for lunch on the shady terrace. It was very good value, well presented and delicious. The staff were friendly and service was excellent. Not somewhere we would stay though. Not rural enough. Good for lunch and would go back again.

I had a very short overnight stay here on business. I did not book the hotel or have to pay for it, and to be honest I would not have chosen to stay here because of its proximity to a busy road and previous bad reviews. My first impressions were not great, the whole place looks a bit dated and...

We were 2 couples traveling together. Made a reservation that morning on line. When we got there, they did not have the reservation but were so cooperative and friendly, giving us 2 rooms, one regular size and one larger room. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. The dinner had a limited menu but the food was very good....

I had a Smartbox gift to use. Otherwise I would have been put off the Auberge because of the other reviews I read here. I am so glad I didn't rely on them. I found the staff very helpful and friendly. The dinner and breakfast were excellent. We stayed there at the weekend, so the traffic was lighter than during...

Having travelled extensively throughout France for 35 years and lived on the West Coast for three years we decided to return to Provence for a holiday. We booked into the Auberge de Bonpas for six nights, demi-pension (BB & evening meal). We were not aware that the auberge was situated next to a major road with a constant flow of...

The lunch at the restaurant of the L’Auberge de Bonpas, a Logis de France, has completely altered our view of twenty years of summer holidays in Provence. On 11th September 2010, we were subjected to verbal abuse, humiliation and threats by the restaurateur of this restaurant. We would count that lunch experience as the our worst ever, anywhere in the...

OK, we weren't guests of the hotel, but it was an absolutely awful lunch. The initial salad chevre chaud was passable, but the entire main course was a disaster: the potatoes were not only from a box, but a bad one; the lamb (I think it was lamb), was fatty, gristly and poorly cooked; the green beans were a poor...
