Staying at Chilly Powder felt like living in a snow globe for over a week. The chalet was perfect and the views every day were the most beautiful i have ever seen. The team was the absolute best and made our whole group’s stay absolutely incredible. Endless thank you to Kenna, Sam, Ross, Dara, Nick and Cosmin - as well as Annie who is a masseuse from the heavens. You are all honestly the best and you made this a truly magical trip. I can’t wait to see you all again next year!!
I just got back from a week stay in Morzine staying with the amazing folks at Chilly Powder. From the start it was almost like family greeting us, and the kind attention never stopped. We opted for a private chalet (Plan de Roches - i think it was;) and added on the Breakfast and Dinner plan which was THE way to go! on a Daily basis, we were treat so well by lovely Kenna and Chef Sam at our Chalet and Dara Nick and Cosmin kept an attentive eye on any of our crews needs. This was not limited to new towels or sugar :0 it carried into any aspect of making our time there comfortable, recommendations of places to eat, trails to ski, any issues with rentals or transport ALL of it was dealt with promptly and with a smile! In reference to the title of my review:) on the last night our group, rather energized from the wonderful week, finished our dinner with some singing and dancing, and sure enough the Chilly Powder crew joined right in! so...the felt like FAMILY thing remains true ;) Looking forward to going back again!…
Not long back from a long weekend at Chilly Powder. It's basically a big chalet with more staff but the same relaxed vibe as if you were at home. There is no hotel stuffiness, which is excellent. The rooms were always warm and clean, the food was top notch, and the positioning pretty good for the main Prodains lift. We sampled the bar, hot tub and massages - these made the holiday extra special. Hat's off to Cosmin and the team, who really made us feel welcome. Oh, and we loved the dogs too - gorgeous!
What a fantastic experience for the whole family. Despite the Europe wide poor snow conditions, we had the best time yet ! We have stayed a number of times at the chalet and we’re used to the high standards but this was a step on even from this. The chefs created fabulous food for all and the wine was excellent. The staff throughout are enthusiastic, smiling, friendly and willing to help with anything. The childcare was great and the lessons were superb. The highlight was the New Year’s Eve party where the oysters, salmon terrine and beef wellington were a real treat, the party games were great fun, and overall the evening was a total blast. Cozmin and Nick lead an exceptional team, Ben is fantastic with the childcare and organises so much more and the whole staff are a great team Thank you for the best holiday yet and we look forward to booking next year as well…
Just back from an incredible week with my daughter staying at Hotel Au Coin du Feu in Morzine. Brilliantly situated for the Prodains Express cable car to Avoriaz, where we had a week of beautiful powdery snow even at the beginning of the season. Outstanding hospitality and food from Chilly Powder's friendly staff. We booked half-board and had a big buffet breakfast and wonderful dinners - delicious canapes followed by a four-course meal (including a cheese course), and all felt for France as we watched them lose to Argentina on the TV in the hotel bar on the Sunday night . My daughter is 20 and it was her first time skiing and the experience just couldn't have been better - it was also lovely socially. And the outdoor hot tub (yes, even in December!) was a real treat. The location is perfect and I'd love to go back in the summer. Thoroughly recommend…
Chilly Powder's Au Coin Du Feu is a lovely, convivial, and perfectly placed hotel right at the foot Avoriaz and 2 mins walk from the main lift. The welcome was great, even at the tail end of the season. The food was a huge highlight - everyone ate together around long communal tables and each evening there was a set menu created by the chef and his team, paired with lovely wine. It was what we all looked forward to as we burned calories skiing all day! Our twin room was comfy and I loved that the balcony looked up to the mountain. Also - key point for me - even though there were families and we were two single women, the hotel has such good facilities for kids (including an earlier dinner time) that you didn't feel like you stuck out amidst loud and noisy family holidays, but that all the adults got a chance to genuinely relax and chat whilst the kids were taken care of and happy. …
A superb place to stay at the foot of the mountain, we loved being just a few minutes from the ski lift and the delicious meals here made the perfect end to the day. Hot tub and log fire completed a great stay
I don’t even know how many time we have been to chilly powder but this is our second time staying at Des Amis (last and first time was in August 2021 for hiking) for a last week on the mountain skiing and snowboarding. It is a magical time of year, one where you wake up in the morning to see all of the mountain flowers and smells of spring and see people in ski and snowboard gear walking up to the telecabin as well as groups of walkers and hikers starting their walks up the mountain. And the mountain is so quiet - no lines at lifts, at some points we felt like the were alone on the mountain. We come for the snow and stay self-catered, but I can’t think of a better place to stay. The kitchen is great to make meals in, dinner and some lunches. There is a fireplace to keep you warm on the chillier evenings and a back deck and hot tub to enjoy the late afternoon sun. Nick and Cosmin - we love you both and thanks for always taking such great care of us!…
Chilly Powder was one of the best ski stay experiences we’ve ever been. It is not only located right next to the main ski-lift. Chilly Powder also has very friendly staff that go out their way to make you feel accommodated and welcome. They will accommodate your diet preferences easily. The staff are also helpful with bookings of activities in the area. They have great knowledge of the area, giving some of the best recommendations.
I had the most wonderful stay at Chilly Powder. The snow was exceptional for late in the season, the staff were incredibly helpful and I loved meeting all the other people staying and dining with them in the evenings. Loved sitting in the hot tub as snow fell. Such a great week. Thank you x
