Stayed here for 2 nights for an extended stay to a wedding. I cannot rate this lovely place high enough. It's like a 'home from home'.......Jo has thought of everything. There are lovely little touches in the rooms and I would definitely return again.

We spent here three days with all the family. Landlady was very kind, the full English breakfast was great, the rooms were very cosy. The B&B is wonderfully located to see the forest of Dean, Tintern abbey and Caerphilly.

Hotel description
Set in the beautiful Forest of Dean, located in the appealing Rookery Farm, on the edge of the Wye valley in the 13th century village of Newland. Nearby are such attractions as the River Wye (approx. 2 miles), All Saints Church, known as The Cathedral of the Forest, (approx. 200 yards). The Forest of Dean is well known for its cycle tracks, ponds, caves and long walks in some of the most picturesque scenery in the country. Nestling between the Wye Valley, the Vale of Leadon and the Severn Valley, the Royal Forest of Dean is one of England's few remaining ancient forests, covering 27,000 acres of woodland.
