We went there to stay for 3 nights during Easter weekend as we were diving at the NDAC which is about 25 min away. Friendly staff and clean room. Excellent value for money. Very nice breakfast. Only negative would be that we weren't informed that they didn't serve food on the Monday bank holiday.

Stayed here for few nights for the Cheltenham festival. Very friendly staff and good clean rooms. Rooms are small and basic but for the price you cannot argue. Loads of tea and coffee in room, topped up daily. Rooms are cleaned every day also. Was quite noisy through the night though with a lot of noise coming from the pub...

Rang up the hotel after deciding to stay over in Cinderford on the spur of the moment. Given a reduced rate for 1 twin room and one triple. Two couples. Arrived 9pm to a private party "bouncing" in another room so very busy. There was a large lounge bar & an outside covered smoking area. There was a problem with...

I must start by saying, over the years the food was of a very high standard and plenty of it. However the other week I had the worst meal ever. What made it bad, was because I was taken out for my Birthday as a present. I had a Rump Steak which was totally un edible. The so called chief...

Only popped in for lunch, but what a wonderful building it is, really made me wish I'd stayed here. Lunch was incredible and affordable, with equally good service. They also show live sport on the television.

Big, cheerful, noisy hotel bar that doubles as the local pub. Food is Sizzling pub/Wetherspoon standard. Shortage of real ales and craft beers, but extensive drinks menu in other areas. Appears to do live music certain nights.

Stayed overnight on business. It was very, and difficult to get to the bar. The facilities were good - the gym and spin studio. Without being two sexist, being female it's not a hotel I'd feel comfortable being in on my own as over populated with men and apparently this is the norm. One negative is the signage in the...

Have stayed and eaten/drank here on a number of occasions. Always experienced a friendly greeting. Food and drink are good value, with a decent breakfast and on a Sunday a brilliant carvery. Rooms are basic, but clean, well maintained, comfortable and good value. Hotel has good parking facilities and pretty much all rooms (numbered over 3 or 4) are well...

Stayed here the night before my wedding. The rooms are clean and well kept, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very nice for a cheap room. Would stay again :) Free WiFi throughout is a bonus.

The Belfry does look a bit tired in places but that is not reflected in the service or food - both of which were very good. As others have said, the restaurant area is rather dark and lacks atmosphere and the carpet is a bit tatty in places. On 2 mornings we had an excellent breakfast, cooked to order and...
