At $12 for a double room it's a good place on a budget. It has a nice bar / dock area that gets busy with locals on a weekend, although the noise didn't affect us in our room. The food in the restaurant is OK but doesn't really compare to the similarly priced Queen Lobster down the road. The bedroom...

Hotel Casa Ulrich is a great little hideaway in this remote fishing village on the El Carib side of Nicaragua...Wonderful place to mingle with the locals & the few visitors that make there way to this hidden gem...Great food & drink are served up at the casual bar/rest, that soon gives way to songs of El Carib herself...enjoy the peacefulnesssss.

We visited Pearl Lagoon in January and stayed at Casa Ulrich for a few days. We had such a lovely time. The staff is great and especially Luis who works in the bar and ownder Fred made our stay unforgettable. Fred will make sure everything is fine for his guests and have nothing to worry about. This way you can...

This place has grown since our first visit, I encourage the owner not to stay away from the kitchen, previously he has been the one hosting the kitchen but now it seems he is getting away ...and you can tell the difference ...this is by far the best food (based on previous visits not the last one) in Pearl lagoon...please...

Our experience included a large cockroach repeatedly (or more likely multiple cockroaches) chew through multiple ziplock bags to get to our food, having to navigate multiple bare, exposed electrical wires in the shower, and then being unable to enjoy the dock and sunshine because of someone (we got the impression he was the father of the owner, but hopefully for...

Lovely place right on the water with the best food In town. Mr Fred, the owner, is a wonderful host who will help you with everything. We went to the Pearl Cayes with a local guy called Jimmy and had a great time. Mr Fred let us leave all our stuff at the hotel while we were away.

Casa Ulrich has a bar and a restaurant at the waterfront and rents out 4 large rooms with private bathrooms in a separate house behind the restaurant. From the lodging we saw this looked like the best place to stay in Pearl Lagoon. The house has commmon outside and indoor sitting areas. Rooms are basic but clean, with good beds...

The owners if Casa Ulrich, is a wonderful and welcoming person. The owner is also a trained chef. The food is great, I would recommend the lobster pasta. So definitely go for lunch or dinner. That being said the rooms are not kept clean. We stayed 3 nights and they never emptied the trash or gave us fresh towels. We...

Semana Santa is a super busy time and we were glad to get a room here for four nights. We stayed in a $10/night room with bathrooms down the hall. The cleaning staff works hard during the day. Fred the owner is friendly and welcoming. By night he is the Chef and his dinners are superb. We were not as...

A group of 8 of us stayed at Hotel Casa Ulrich recently. The rooms do need a bit of TLC, but overall they were good. The food was amazing! The highlights were the steak, the lobster Spaghetti and the fish fillet in garlic sauce for dinner. A little disappointed with the chicken, it had no sauce and the meal was...
