We stayed 2 nights here at Plataran Menjangan. We took their honeymoon package and we’re very satisfied. All of the staffs are friendly, they took care of us very well. When we arrived they already have a custom itinerary for us yet they’re very flexible and cater our needs & interests. The room was clean and comfortable. The food was magnificent! We had lots of fun activities and you should try their spa! Overall we very recommend honeymooners to try and stay here ❤️

Spent three day here during the rain season and had a very pleasant stay almost alone with 100 staff (many working with their replanting and bird project though) so the service was outstanding. Only negative was the outdoor bathroom in rain

Nice villa with great view surrounded by mangrove. Deer walking round the lodge. Great food especially the romantic dinner. Very friendly staff. We made some excursions in the surrounding parc although it was not the right time of the year we saw many birds. Picknicks in the jungle were really an experience. And last but not least snorkling to enjoy the beauty of the coral reef should not be missed

Plataran Menjangan is the best on what west Bali can offer. We stayed here for two nights and it served us better than most places in central and south Bali. The staff helped us organise a schedule, handle our last minute bookings, and was readily available even late night to help with services around the resort. Do 100% recommend this place to experience the national park and the calmness of staying in between it.

I went at mid of December, stay 2 nights at the forest villa, mine was the closest to beach club (octagon). Not so many people while I was there, it’s very peaceful & serene, I really can enjoy quality time with my husband, swim at the pool, meals at the restaurants, join few activities, and sunrise tower near my room & we got to catch the sunrise there. I also met many monkeys (not very wild monkey, scared to be approached by people, but steals food, so it’s very strict not to leave food behind) & deers eating grass at the frontyard of the villa. Since it’s at a forest, it’s far from the city, therefore it’s not easy if you want to go out to buy something or going to eat outside. So I spent all my meals at Plataran Menjangan, and all the foods were delicious! The only thing is hot water in my room didn’t work very well, for tub maybe only 1/3 filled with hot water, after that the water was a bit cold and it didn’t work for the shower. I didn’t complain because it’s fine for me. But other than that, it’s a memorable place to visit!…

We are on our 5th night of a 6-night stay, and I wish we were here longer! We have come to Plataran with our two young daughters (3.5 years and 2.5 months), and my parents. For anyone who is apprehensive about the drive, it is absolutely worth it. The location between the forest and mangroves on the sea is exceptional, the rooms are beautifully appointed and decorated in the style of a traditional Javanese house, and the infinity pool, gardens and other amenities are beautifully maintained. Did I mention that there are deer roaming freely and that monkeys scamper about in the afternoons? The food is also delicious (especially if you like Indonesian fare) and very reasonably priced, with plenty on the menu of the two restaurants (Octagon and Wantilan) to keep your taste buds entertained without repetition for a week if not more. There's a huge number of activities, many of which are free. The overall atmosphere is rustic but without sacrificing luxury and comfort; this is not a slick Nusa Dua style resort, but a slice of something close to how Bali used to be 40 years ago. Despite all these wonderful features, though, what makes Plataran truly stand out is the service. Attention to detail, graciousness, warmth and authenticity are clearly watchwords for all staff. Arif, Surayna and the wider team are experts at curating memorable experiences for whatever your party needs – in our case, among other things, an outdoor movie night and Indonesian BBQ on the lawn in front of our villa (set up with the fairy-lights in an instagram-perfect manner). No request is made to feel onerous, and wishes are frequently anticipated. This place is the stuff of dreams.
