Do you know when you get the feeling you did just the right choice! That's it! Lella, her cooking class and her lovely place felt like the best choice in Italy! I had my parents coming to Lucca for the weekend, and wanted to surprise them with Lella's cooking class. I knew what was about to come, and even myself,... More

Our family of eight adults (four couples) rented all four rooms for four nights. This was a wonderful way to get a more rustic and authentic taste of the beautiful countryside - much more memorable than staying in a hotel. It's a fun adventure driving up the narrow roads with hairpin turns to reach the farm, and the views are... More

Our family of four had a wonderful visit at Abbacca-la. It was like having our own "little home" in a beautiful part of Italy. Even though the property is located up a winding road the view and home are completely worth it. Lella and her husband were charming hosts and made us feel right at home, especially providing us with... More

Our stay at Abbacca-la was absolutely amazing. Leila's hospitality and cooking class were the highlight of our Italy trip. The apartment was quaint and the views were spectacular. Wish we could have stayed longer!

There were 5 of us visiting, ranging in age from 24 to 74 years old. The accommodations were very clean, comfortable and inviting. The farmhouse is nestled in the mountains with an old Spanish ruins about a 30 minute hike further up the hill. Lella and her husband were wonderful hosts. We took a cooking class with Lella that was... More

Lella was the perfect host. She greeted us warmly, and smoothed our ruffled feathers from our stressful trip. Beautiful apartment with outdoor dining area. We loved opening the windows in the morning to the view of mountains and vineyards. Great nearby restaurants, after driving down the mountain. She gave excellent advice on places of interest to go, how to get... More

With so many great reviews already it is difficult to add something new. Lella is warm, welcoming & always trying to find those little things you mention in passing & then taking action on to make your stay as complete & enjoyable as possible. The farmhouse is beautifully situated in the hills, so peaceful & beautiful. It is a great... More

Rustic, renovated 18th century farmhouse in the Tuscan Hills. Our wonderful hostess Donatella could not have been more gracious. And don't fail to take a cooking lesson from her while you're there. This was our family's first trip to Italy, and we used this location as a successful base for touring Tuscany by car, bicycle and train.

We have nothing but great memories and high praise for Lella and the farmhouse Abbacca-là. From the first email exchanges to the day we departed Lella was there for us.
