Great place in a great Market town - it's the best pub in town, with plenty of real ales and a roaring fire in winter. Very good rooms and great staff - Also excellent food and wine. About 3 of the 12 rooms face the street and Skipton has a few weekend revellers who might wake you up so bring...

I liked the menu straight away, and was very impressed with the food when it arrived. Not too sophisticated, but well thought out, seasonal ingredients and very well cooked. The beetroot tart was a whole, delicious beetroot wrapped in puff pastry - slightly charred round the edges which somehow made it look even more appealing! And served with a tart...

I know Skipton very well and have been in this pub on many an occasion, but had never twigged that they had rooms. Booked in for a Saturday night so we could catch up with friends and was very pleased. The staff were all lovely, the room wasn't the biggest but was comfortable & very well appointed. The extra little...

The bar and restaurant are very spacious and well maintained, the food is delicious and they always have a specials board as well as the standard menu. The beer is also excellent! However, the staff are so rude with attitude, one girl with more piercings than flesh was exceptionally rude and puffed and tutted as we made our order (my...

Lovely pub in Skipton, enjoyed coming here on several occasions however on my most recent visit the bar staff were incredibly rude. After misunderstanding what drinks we ordered we explained the issue and the responses we got were not pleasant at all. Almost spoilt a pleasurable evening.

Very lively pub with what appears to be a new build block at the rear of the pub through the beer garden. Room was large & modern. Large rain shower in the bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Even a token for a free half pint of beer in the bar left in the room. There is a free car park at...

Well located right in the centre of Skipton yet with an excellent car park. The room was small but comfortable and well equipped with a decent shower. The highlight of the stay was the food - the sea bass was delicious and the breakfast outstanding.

I came here with my wife and another couple on new years Eve. It was a bit noisy and with me being hard of hearing I couldn't hear what the bar lass was saying (she had blonde hair and sounded foreign) after she repeated herself a couple of times she then said "I've said it five times now how many...
