Stayed for 4 nights on a walking break and found this to be an ideal base, Very helpful staff, landlady dried wet clothes for me, and could not have done more to make us welcome, The food is very good with standard pub meals and some very nice specials. Nice selection of real ales. The rooms are clean and comfortable....

Chose the Craven Heifer as we were two hungry travellers needing overnight stop. Basic but good room, clean and lovely views. Food very good in the evening and breakfast continental with plenty of choice. Would stay again if in the area.

Called in here last Saturday (20/5/17) on the recommendation of a friend following a walk in the area. I ordered the Belly Pork and my wife had the Wensleydale Chicken both of which were delightful. Will definitely visit again when in the Skipton area.

Room, in the annexe at the back of the hotel, was clean and comfortable, though décor is pretty dated. Staff really friendly. Well kept ale alongside varied menu choices for dinner with lots of options for vegetarians. Few minutes drive to Skipton and fantastic views.

Located just 1.5 miles outside Skipton and surrounded by wonderful scenery, The Craven Heifer provided the ideal accommodation for myself, my sister and my daughter for a short weekend break. We chose one of the 'family rooms', which is actually set apart from the pub, but close by. It was more of a holiday cottage, with three bedrooms, its own...

We are so glad we were allowed a second chance by the owners to stay at this well positioned, comfortable and clean B&B. Just the view from our bedroom both mornings was worth it, alone. Local friends of ours who came to have a drink with us in the bar our second evening also commented on the view of the...

Me and my mum stopped here randomly as we were nearby and hungry, and although we had not booked and it was a Sunday lunch time, we were seated straight away. The food was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were very good too. There was plenty of choice which was helpful. The waitresses were lovely too. We will definitely...

The Specials board is Special, unusual ingredients and combinations that just work, reasonably priced, well presented, fresh ingredients and always full of flavour. In fact I am amazed at the depth of flavour the chef(s) get into their dishes. We have eaten many times from the special board and the general menu and have been wowed every time. We eat...

Went to the craven heifer after a visit to Skipton. I had heard about the carvery & it's reputation & as I'm not normally in this area the area thought it would be a nice ending to the day. The inn is in a lovely area with beautiful views of the sales & from the outside is quite modern looking....
