The cottage we stayed in was roomy clean and lovely to relax in. As it is " pet friendly " this was an added bonus for us. The owners of the cottages, the Houston's are friendly and helpful. Their café/bistro' Dora's has an excellent selection of lovely food. All in all I would recommend a stay here. Harry.

We booked this because Ashlea Cottages are dog friendly. We didn't know what to expect but we most certainly were not disappointed. The cottage was clean, tidy and equipped with all we needed. Bed linen, towels, toiletries were all supplied. Cooker, fridge freezer and washer dryer in the kitchen along with all necessary utensils even a tea towel and wash...

Portrush is a beautiful location in close proximity to many worthwhile places for tourist to visit. The cottages however are very tired and in need of a good scrub, painting updating. There was mold on the ceilings of two shower ares, with spiders, both dead and alive on the walls and floors. The kitchen was functional however the pots and...

Thanks for your review and I'm really sorry the cottage did not meet your expectation. I can only apologise for this, and admit that at the end of a really busy season we may have 'taken our eye off the ball' in terms of presentation and certainly there is no excuse for the items you have mentioned. We have taken...

It has to be said the welcome we received on our arrival was above and beyond any thing I've ever had before from a cottage rental. We'd called about arriving early and were told it wasn't a problem. Once we actually arrived Tom was incredibly welcoming and was a mine of information about places that were worth checking out. The...

It's very hard to be humble after such a wonderful review Mike !! but we genuinely believe that making our guests feel welcome and comfortable is so important as part of their experience in this wonderful part of the world. That was only the $2 tour - just imagine what the $10 tour is like!!?

Ashlea Cottages really are a great place to stay, we were made to feel really welcome by the owners and found the accommodation to have everything we needed and more. They were clean and well presented and in an ideal location to explore the wonderful north coast. We would definitely recommend staying there and we will definitely come back ourselves!

Accomodation was good and Tom was very helpfull. The only critism that we would have is that the play area can get somewhat overcrowded when both the holiday guests and those visiting the cafe want to use the facilities all at the same time. Apart from that an enjoyable holiday.

Really appreciate the excellent review David and totally take your point about the play area being somewhat 'busy' at certain times of the day. 'Dora's' has become very popular with families visiting the tearoom and we are going to have to try to increase our facilities to cope with this - more later!

As usual Tom gave us a warm welcome. It was an opportunity to bring our dog and enjoy many walks around Portrush. Accommodation was clean and comfortable. we noticed good use was made of the play facilities on site and our grandchildren enjoyed them when they visited us. Further we enjoyed Tom's homegrown tomatoes and cucumber. The cakes in Dora's...

Super review David and many thanks for taking time to write it. The play area has become a victim of 'Dora's' success and this is something we are going to have to have a look at over the winter. Unfortunately the tomatoes and cucumber are seasonal ! but I enjoy growing them and sharing them with our guests so please...

Perfect location and brilliant facilities - onsite playground and café. Plenty of parking and excellent/helpful owners. Our cottage had 2 twin rooms and one family room with double bed + bunk beds. All a good size. 3 bathrooms in total too and a well stocked kitchen with everything you would need.

Our biggest regret was only booking for 3 nights. Tom, the owner was extremely welcoming and took time out to explain where everything was in the cottage.
