Just been into the Downshire for a meal. I appreciate it's Easter Monday and places are busy, even though the restaurant part looked half empty, the service was very slow. The staff were very pleasant, polite and friendly but it took a while to give our order. I ordered beef and bird. It was explained that I had two choices...

We went to the Downshire on recommendation from friends. We hadn't booked but we were given a friendly welcome and told we'd get a table as soon as one was available. The bar was busy with a lovely atmosphere, we sat and a a drink and were able to order our food. Once our food was ready so was a...

My wife and I stayed overnight at the Downshire Arms en route to Dublin to visit our Grandson at university there. A wonderful professional and friendly welcome at reception. The offer to take our bags to our room which was beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and very comfortable indeed (Number 5). Down to the bar where we ordered drinks at the...

I stayed at the Downshire Arms Hotel over the weekend, all the staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful at all times. There is a massive choice for breakfast, all cooked superbly and served by lovely staff. It would be impossible I feel to find any fault with this establishment, I would highly recommend this without hesitation, faultless.

As visitors to Banbridge N.I my wife and I were taken to the Downshire Arms Hotel for a Sunday Roast, all I can say it was well worth the visit and would definitely return, the place is spotless and there is a very warm feeling to it.

Delighted meal catching up with a friend. Great sunday lunch of turkey and ham with plenty of fresh vegetable selection. Followed by an old childhood favourite of mine creamed rice pudding with nutmeg. The dining room truly embodies great character and a relaxing ambience. We will return soon. Thank you!
