Good value, lovely comfortable bed and clean room. Hotel was busy and was having renovations although this didn't impact on our stay. Well recommended. Sat Nav did struggle finding address and car park was 'tight'.

My partner and I stayed here for two nights whilst staying in Chesterfield to visit Chatsworth House. We were greeted by a friendly lady at reception, who checked us in and gave us directions into town and recommended some nice places to eat. The hotel itself is clean, warm and homely and in a really quiet area of town but...

This was a nice little place to visit for the one night I required. There were some renovations happening but these did not disturb me. The hotel was quiet and staff were very helpful. Its not 5 star or anything, but its very good value for money.

We needed a place near the Dales, but accessible to Sheffield. Chesterfield presented itself on the map and Abbeydale showed as highly rated on TA. We weren't disappointed. From some reviews I guess there might be smaller rooms- it's an old building- but our room was fine- big enough, airy but warm, with a comfortable double bed and a usable...

The Abbeydale is a small independent hotel close to the centre of Chesterfield, where I recently stayed for one night. During the course of the year, I travel around the country as an official at major cue sports events, and frequently stay for one or sometimes two nights in various hotels. This is among the better ones I have experienced...

Visited this hotel for one night, room adequate but small including en suite & quite dated. Communal areas fair but carpets stained & old looking. Breakfast ok, had much better, 3 bits of mushroom not even totalling one whole is a bit poor & didn't get the eggs I'd ordered, also menu states homemade jams & marmalade, this was not...

If you are looking for a one night stopover, this is not bad, close to the centre and eateries. Bedroom so so, mattress well used, shower pressure poor and rooms small. Breakfast good with fresh fruit and cooked food tasty. Parking off road. No one asked if our stay ok or if they could help

From the reviews we read we had expected something rather above average . It is not . The room was ok but stank of cigarettes. The beds were sloppy, the General decor looked tired . There was no soap in the room. This is a central B and B next to a school and whilst there is parking available the...
