Called here for a drink and a sandwich . I must say from the off the food was very good . Nice thick cut "fresh" bread ,the filling ( of which there is a good selection)was prawn, again very fresh. So thank you

We loved the food here but it is a pub and it can be little loud and noisy. The Burger is over priced and huge but try their daily specials. I loved the presentation of their food. overall, we enjoyed our experience there.

thepeacockbakewell, We may not be the Best Pub in Derbyshire , but we are in the Top One, and not too quiet about it either, at The Peacock Bakewell, responded to this review

Only a Pleasant Surprise Sam A - I'm Shocked & Hurt, but we are a pub, damned Good too, and if it was too Quiet on the Western Front, then we would be having problems.....

We had just one night at the end of April at this pleasant pub with accommodation in Bakewell. Our room was on the ground floor and faced the courtyard seating area for the pub. The room was large and smart, with two double beds and the bathroom also large and modern, with a walk in shower and lots of good...

thepeacockbakewell, Every cloud has a silver lining, even if you are considered a pudding from us all, at The Peacock Bakewell, responded to this review

Yorkspuds - if ever a name was more appropriate then you have it, as there is only one pudding here, and that is you..... You have the audacity and cheek to visit the Peacock in Bakewell and stay in fabulous accommodation, yet find time to bemoan the fact we only had a few mismatched coat hangers in the wardrobe -...

Yes it gets busy so you either except that food takes a while and the bar is 2 deep or you go too another place. If you leave somebody will replace you, why ?.Because...

We stayed in room 5. Great room, plenty of space, contemporary decor. Very comfy bed.. Great breakfast ..delivered exactly what we ordered..and possibly the best poached eggs I've had for a long time. So for bed and breakfast this pub delivered more than expected and we would recommend. The pub itself is traditional..good atmosphere. .welcoming. We found the drinks about the same...

My twin sister has already reviewed this place but due to some poor reviews I felt the need to write. Now, I'm not one to give my career history but let's just say that I am more than qualified to give a honest review being in the catering & hospitality industry for 29 years, first as a qualified chef but...

We went in to The Peacock on a Sunday afternoon knowing it was a little bit pricey as we had read previous reviews. thepeacockbakewell, In for a penny in for a pound, especially on a credit card, at The Peacock Bakewell, responded to this review

I am at a loss why anyone would visit a fantastic establishment, comment on the fact that the Sunday Roast served was 'lovely and tender....even the fact they weren't disappointed' then further up on down the road complain that the drinks were expensive - not that I feel £14 for the round of drinks described is particularly that expensive, as...
