Four of us staying in Ashford ate there last week and it was such good food we returned for a second night. Most of us had steak the first night and it was really really nice. So much food but good tasty food and HOMEMADE chips!! Dessert good too. Price very reasonable. Nice friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

Not impressed with the food, the staffing was poor which was apparently down to 2 staff members calling in sick but I will come back to the fact that the food was not up to the standard I expected from this establishment

Stayed couple of nights. Bedroom very comfortable and clean. Plenty of tea/coffee available in room. Had meal on first night, very nice and good value. Staff very pleasant and landlord/owner pleasant but not in your face which we like. Couldn't fault the breakfast, everything you need. Enjoyable stay would defiantly return. Only downside, offered freed WIFI but very hard to...

We have been here a few times and never been disappointed. The service was as always friendly, efficient and enjoyable. We all had the same course from the lunch fixed priced menu. Superbly cooked and presented. We never feel the need to move on quickly and always enjoy our visits Thank you

What a find! We have now been there 3 times for lunch, including the most recent meal which was the Christmas lunch on a busy Saturday in December. The food is of an extremely high standard, plentiful, delicious and served with a smile from the many waiting-on staff. There is no pressure to get straight up after finishing eating even...

We have not stayed at the Ashford Arms however we do eat there regularly and have done for the past 4 years. We have never been disappointed, the quality is good and the price is too. The only down side is that it gets very busy with bookings, so be advised try to book in advance.

Wonderful location in a beautiful village. Better than being in touristy Bakewell. Right in the heart of some great walking cycling and sightseeing countryside. The restaurant is well known for excellent food at reasonable prices. Some reviews seem to express concerns but this (experienced) traveller had a very positive experience with the accommodation and service.

Food shown as available 12nn-2pm. We arrived 1.30pm to find very few tables occupied. However, all other tables were showing "Reserved" notices. When unable to find available table 2 customers who were obviously known to staff directed us to sit at one of the reserved tables and called to a lady who emerged from the bar informing her of what...

I booked a room at short notice and on arrival found it to have a nice view to the rear of the property. The room was clean and tidy with plenty of space for clothes in the ward robe. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The bathroom was tiny but functional. The breakfast was lovely and service was good....

Completed a weeks tour of the UK by motorcycle staying in public B&B's every night. The stay at the ashford arms was as good as any others with regard to quality of accommodation, however two things spoilt the visit. Having arrived at 5pm I was bemused to find the pub all locked up. The signs said bar and restaurant shut...
