Very pleasant stay. Staff very helpful which was a pleasure. Room in main hotel, also have annexe rooms. Ate in restaurant and food very good, lovely locally produced chicken - good to see you support local suppliers. Comfy bed and slept very well. Car park across road, clearly directed to and given permit for by Reception staff. I would definitely...

A really elegant Hotel with staff who went out of their way to be helpful. My mum and I stayed in Room 35 which was in the Courtyard across the road from the main Hotel. The room looked as though it had been recently refurbished and was spotless. We had 2 bathrooms - an accessible one for my mum and...

Right in the centre of Bakewell the Rutland Arms packs character and history right down to the creaking floor boards. Even Jane Austin stayed here soon after it was opened. You may even bump into the some of the locals using the bar as a group watering hole. The room was spacious with usual furniture. Was a bit warm at...

Excellent customer service, friendly staff and a bed that gave us a perfect night's sleep. It was big enough to sleep at least 4 people (though we stuck with just the two of us). The team could not have been more helpful.

I'd like to make special mention of the excellence of all of your staff. Everyone I encountered had a smile, was friendly and really keen to help and make my stay better. In...

We booked in for a Friday to Monday stay for our Wedding Anniversary, the hotel is on the main roundabout as you enter Bakewell. It is location which is ideal for exploring the town which is pretty compact, so anything you need for the day is at hand. Monday there are two markets in the town so it was busy...

Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. I visited chatsworth house with a friend and after driving early hours from Poole and spending all day at chatsworth house, the Rutland which is only a short drive from CH was a welcome sight. David was helpful when we couldn't work out where the car park was and stood outside waiting for us so...

Nice hotel in an ideal location for touring the Peak District and the second time I have stayed here in two years. Room was in the annex unfortunately but it was clean, comfortable and the bed was superb. Breakfast was excellent and all the staff were attentive, friendly and professional. I'd have no hesitation booking this hotel again.
