Fantastic hospitality, delicious breakfast, beautiful views. Very good base for wonderful walking in the Peak District including Chatsworth, the Monsal Trail and Bakewell. There are lots of options for eating out nearby.

The hosts were lovely, friendly and helpful but the B and B itself could do with a lick of paint. It has lovely gardens and big rooms, and could have great potential. However, there were a number of issues with our room: The bath was dirty/stained, the curtain hook came out of the wall when I tried to draw the...

The Hollow is a lovely old house in the beautiful little village of Little Longstone, the room was huge, with a wonderful view, the bathroom also enormous! The room was warm, bright and welcoming, the bed large and comfortable. We were made to feel very welcome, without fuss, and the breakfasts were wonderful! The view from the breakfast room out...

The view from our bedroom in The Hollow was, quite simply, the loveliest view I've ever had at a B&B. It is a quiet, comfortable, affordable place to stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our three days there. We've stayed in the Peak District before, but never here, but we had a fine visit and would definitely recommend this as a...

If you're looking for up to date mod cons with clean/pristine rooms, a comfy bed and a warm room at night then this is not the place for you. If however, you are looking for a place just to sleep, not bothered about the amenities, wind blowing through the rotten/single glass windows and breakfast that is far from special then...

Loved it!! Was booked as a surprise rare child free trip away and was not disappointing at all. The hosts were fantastic, she recommended a great place to eat our evening meal and even phoned us reservations as we set off walking there. Love the Bakewell area and will definitely go back there without a doubt

We left our booking to the morning of Good Friday due to a last minute offer of childcare. I rang everywhere and they were either all full or wouldn't accept a one night stay. I was delighted when finally Dawn answered and said she had a room. We spent the day in Bakewell then drove on to Little Longstone in...

Was made to feel very welcomed without loads of fuss, room was fantastic with a great view, breakfast was perfect. The area is lovely with a great pub/restaurant and Monsal Head 10 mins walk. Would go back again.

Having stopped at The Packhorse in Little Longstone (near Monsal Head, a favourite spot in the Peak District), we thought it would be nice to stop over if we could find somewhere local. The Hollow is just a few yards away so dropped in and was so lucky to find that Dawn could provide us 2 rooms for the night...

Fantastic location in the hamlet of Little Longstone, right beside the pedestrian section of the High Peak trail, about 5 minutes walk from the Monsal Head hotel. But much more affordable that the Monsal Head hotel. There is just about enough room to park outside the house. The location can not be bettered if you are here to walk or...
