We had a fantastic three night stay at The Haven recently (May 2011). From the outset we were welcomed in a friendly and genuine manner by Jeremy and Barbara and we can say without hesitation that they certainly added a lot of value to our stay in the Peaks. They ensured that all the little aspects of our stay were...

We had a really enjoyable stay at The Haven, Jeremy and Barbara are very hospitable and very friendly. Our room was situated at the back of the house on the top floor and was very quiet and peaceful. Our en suite was pretty big and had a really good shower. The room was very comfortable and clean. We both really...

The Host are very friendly couple. They even learned how to make Indian Masala Chai so that my wife can make a perfect start to her day. The rooms are not large but very clean. The bathroom and the towels were all clean. The bed was very soft so even though I was very tired, due to to my back...

This B and B was all that we hoped for. Although on a busy road, we were unaware of any noise at night either within the guest house or outside. The location was excellent, a short level walk to the centre of town, and fortunately there was parking provided or it could have been a problem. The room was comfortable...

From the moment we arrived to the hour when we departed, we were received respectfully and conscientiously. Here is a couple who are proud to have you in their home and who treat you as special guests. Our room with ensuite was like home from home. Breakfast and conversation delightful and attentive.

We were so happy with our choice. The owner, Jeremy, is so friendly and welcoming he made us feel right at home. I was curious to...

convenient for the centre of Bakewell, and for the Peak District generally Friendly owner has organised discounts at 3 local restaurants which we took advantage of. Despite its name the B&B lies on the main road into town so ask for a room at the back (fortunately we had) if traffic might disturb your night.

Thank you for your review we really appreciate your comments and feedback. We note you commented on the position of the house in relation to the road and your suggestion that guests should ask for a room at the back (as your room was) if noise may disturb their sleep. As you didn’t stay in one of our front rooms...
