Arrived to a very warm welcome. Robertswood Country House proved to be a very comfortable, well appointed and spotlessly clean , a real find. Food was always very well presented, hot and delicious. The consideration shown to us by David and Marylyn was exceptional and helped make our weeks stay seem far too short. To top it all the views...

We had a wonderful stay in Derbyshire which was helped by our stay at Robertswood Country House. The view from our bedroom window was amazing, bedroom was clean, plenty of hot water, tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Our hosts David and Marylyn was two of the nicest people and made our stay a memorable one. Would I...

Second time staying at Robertswood, we visited two years ago, just don't know where to begin. The service was excellent, David and Marilyn were excellent hosts putting us at ease straight away. The food was out standing, this includes the evening meals as well as the full English breakfasts. The room was clean, comfortable and all rooms had wonderful views...

Robertswood is a small and very comfortable country house hotel. This was our fifth visit there which is, in itself, testament to its quality. Negotiation of the steep drive into the hotel is made worthwhile by the building's commanding position, affording wonderful views across Matlock and beyond. Hosts, David and Marylyn, greet guests with the warmest of welcomes and, during the...

We booked the whole hotel as my daughter was getting married in the area. This is the cleanest friendliest hotel anyone could wish for. Nothing was too much trouble. They contributed to what was a memorable weekend. Children were not a problem to them and although we didn't take up the offer they were prepared to cook an evening dinner...

A good location to visit the many and varied attractions of the Peak District of Derbyshire. A warm welcome awaits and nothing is a problem for hosts David and Marylyn. Breakfasts could not be beaten and the optional evening meals are well worth sampling. All of the rooms are comfortable and well equipped, many with great views.
