Beautiful house and garden in a good position for exploring. Lovely clean and inviting room. Weekend made even better by the friendly owners. We were made very welcome with our dog, who enjoyed his breakfast treat! Ken, Jane & Archie 🐾

We spent two nights at the Pines at the end of July. What a lovely place! The accommodation was smart but also very homely and comfortable. Cheryl made us very welcome and had a wealth of knowledge about the local area. We enjoyed everything about our stay and would be keen to stay here again. Highly recommended!

Cheryl could not have been more friendly and helpful, the house and gardens are beautiful, the room...

Lovely stay Cheryl made us feel welcolme from the start. Wonderful breakfast that set us up for the day. We stayed in the Nightingale Room which I can thoroughly recommend. This B & B has the added advantage of being just a short walk away from the local pub that serves good food.

As a grumpy gay Northerner, one of my favourite highlights of staying away is having a good old critical 'postmortem' of the hotel on the journey home, today my partner was left bemused on the drive up North as I struggled to find fault with anything at 'The Pines' - Cheryl was warm, friendly and a great host, the ensuite...

From greeting us on arrival and helping with bags, superb knowledge of the local area, lovely clean and comfortable rooms, fantastic full English breakfast with homemade bread and marmalade. Nothing was too much trouble, and the dog was treated like royalty. Would highly recommend.
