The e-mail communication before we got to Glendon Guest House was excellent and they were very helpful in letting us arrive later than their usual times as we had to drive down from work. The room was very cosy with very comfy bedding and the hospitality tray was excellent with different teas, coffees, hot chocolate and even some homemade lemon...

Stayed here whilst attending a wedding in the Peak District. Had to arrive early to get to the wedding and the staff ensured our room was ready for us to check in to. Lovely hotel, attentive staff, very clean, very comfortable, great location. Complementary tea and cake on arrival. Fantastic cooked full English breakfast. Private parking. Lovely well behaved dog!

We absolutely loved our stay here. It was the perfect location for exploring the Peak District. We stayed in a beautiful double room with decor in line with what you'd expect from a boutique hotel. There was another room attached and only accessible from the main room. This had a double bunk bed and two boxes of toys for our...

We stayed at Glendon for one night en route north. We received a warm welcome from Damien who kindly made us a pot of earl grey with homemade cake. He was able to provide details of local restaurants and clear directions for walking into the town on a cold and wet evening. Our room was very well equipped, comfortable and...

I have just returned from 2 nights at Glendon House and it truly was fantastic. I was on a weekend away with a friend and we both were looking for someone else to look after us... Damian and Adrian at Glendon House did this brilliantly. We were greeted with tea and cake in the lounge which on a dark Friday...

On arrival we were offered a tray of tea and coffe which came with 2 generous slices of delicious lemon cake. The room was as described with spacious facilities including...

Look no further than the Glendon for accommodation in Matlock. Third stay recently......the high levels of service remain un-changed. We arrivered covered in mud and were warmly greeted with usual sitting room cuppa and lemon drizzle cake. The rooms are large, clean and have high ceilings and solid walls...you never hear other guests. The breakfast beats those offered by the...
