After a 9 hour car journey we received the warmest of welcomes from Damien. Nothing was too much trouble for him and we had a truy wonderful two day stay. Our room was superbly comfortable. We returned from visiting the costume exhibtion at Chatsworth the 2nd day to find homemade lemon drizzle cake waiting for us - just one of...

Stayed last week 4 nights at the Glendon Guest house. I was so glad I was able to find the B&B thanks to Trip Advisor. I stayed in the 4 poster bed room and it was a wonderful room. Roomy, very clean, beautifully decorated (the decor has slightly changed from the pictures but I think the new decor is way...

We have visited the Glendon twice before, and as we are fairly regular visitors to various Guest Houses, now we are retired, we think this is definitely the best we have come across. It has that touch of class, with a lot of thought having gone into every detail, by the owners. The breakfast is superb, and sets you up...

Each year a group of friends meet up and stay at hotels and B&Bs around the country.Up to now the places have been very good and Glendon Guest House was no exception. The guest house was situated very close to Matlock town centre but the rooms were very quiet with lovely views of the church and gardens. There was sufficient car parking...

This must be the best accommodation in Matlock. Damien and Adrian have done an amazing job of tastefully decorating Glendon Guest House with some lovely pieces of furniture that complement the property superbly. Glendon Guest House is only a short ten/fifteen minute flat walk into Matlock (depending on how fast you walk), having guest off street car parking is an...

We have just arrived home from an excellent Easter stay at Glendon Guest House. Damien and Adrian work very hard to make their guests feel welcome and advise on places to go........such as recommending a visit to Hardwick Hall as it was used as Malfoy Manor in one of the Harry Potter films (in previous conversation we had discussed our...

Recently returned from our 4th long weekend at 'Glendon', didn't want to leave! Adrian and Damien are so welcoming and do everything to ensure your stay is enjoyable, starting with tea and homemade cake on arrival.
