well, where do you start!! considering from what i heard that the management team only took over in the last 3 weeks and didn't get fully informed of upcoming bookings [ours was made in January!!] i must say that after a few minor issues regarding the booking, the day went off exceptionally well. i must congratulate them for accommodating the...

After reading previous reviews of the Boathouse we didn't know what to expect, we were pleasantly surprised. More than 20 of us arrived to celebrate a 60th birthday and were made to feel very welcome. The food was delicious, particularly the desserts, I didn't here one complaint from our party. Speaking as a hospitality trainer I think that once the...

Came across this place by chance just going by what it looked like first of all which is a restaurant in a very pretty location overlooking the river. But the description I would use to describe the service and experience overall is disorganised chaos, when we came on a Sunday at 12 just for a drink and a sat down...

Sat by the river - 20 minutes before drinks arrived - at least three quarters of an hour before roast beef and roast lamb arrived - not worth waiting for - 1 limb parsnip and carrot, 2 green beans and a couple of sprigs of broccoli, obviously Aunt Bessie's Yorkshire puddings - awful experience - won't be going there again.

We popped in on Saturday for lunch, we had heard that it had changed hands so gave it a go. The food was good, but they need to work on the service, not everyone's dinner came at once, and we were left at the end looking at our dirty plates, we paid our bill and they were still there!! This...

Firstly we visited as a restaurant not a hotel. This restaurant has a location and view on a lovely day that is second to none, however, the service is a lot to be desired. Went on Mothers day, £29.99 3 courses with a bottle of wine included. The food was ok..ish. It was our decision to sit outside but the...

For Actual reviews on this place: also look up Rare Cow. Previously called the Rare Cow, we knew it had changed hands, however they have not changed the website or menu on line, so we went for a company meal expecting something a bit more up-market/classy and we got basic pub food at best. We decided to give it a...

Visited venue for a drink at lunchtime. Lovely location and we sat outside overlooking the river. Landlady could not be more welcoming, bringing over a bite to eat. We decided to stay for Sunday lunch, which was good value for money. Pleasant and attentive staff. We would like to wish the owners a successful venture.and will be sure to return...

Didn't eat here but called in for a drink. The landlady was so welcoming. She brought us bread and oil dips. Loved the style and warmth of this delightful riverside restaurant and thought the menu looked great.
