The Muxnaw Lodge is a B and B for the discerning traveller. The setting is stunning with great views of the river and mountains. It is convenient for walking into the town. The property has great character and the rooms are larger than normal for a B and B. The bathrooms are huge and appear to have recently been refurbished....

My wife and I stayed in the master bedroom of the Muxnaw lodge for 2 nights. We had a wonderful experience! We were served tea each afternoon with freshly made scones. The breakfast was a traditional Irish breakfast with fresh scones, jam, local butter, orange juice, coffee, tea, porridge, and a host of main course options. I would suggest the...

Went to Kenmare in July 2013. This B&B was perfect: big rooms, fantastic breakfast( tea, coffee, salmon, eggs, fresh scones, oatmeal, OJ, toast...), great location to town as we walked in each day and beautiful setting. Hospitality was excellent and made us feel at home in Ireland. Can not go wrong with choosing Muxnaw Lodge!

I stayed here with my father after doing the ring of Kerry. It is a wonderful BnB. Our host was very friendly and breakfast was delicious! The room was quite and large. It's been a bed and breakfast for 30 years so she knows what she's doing! The view of the river from our room was perfect. I highly recommend.

We enjoyed our 3 day stay in Muxnaw Lodge. Nothing to complain with regard to rooms, service and breakfast. The B&B is located close to the N71 so you may hear some traffic noise. Kenmare is at walking distance. Ring of Beara is great. (and not so many tourists) Consider a visit to Gleninchaquin Park for a 2 - 3...

We have made annual trips to Ireland for over the past ten years or more and always spend at least a few days in Kenmare. We have always stayed at Muxnaw Lodge, either in the Lodge itself or the rental cottage, and would not consider staying anywhere else in Kenmare or vicinity.. Muxnaw is a gracious Georgian town house built...

We came across this idyllic gem of a B&B on 22nd June 2013 while looking for overnight accommodation somewhere by the water near Kenmare, Co Kerry. What a find! The owner, Hannah Boland, greeted us with a big smile at the door and showed us around her house, its big rooms, beautiful views and relaxing sitting-room with a blazing open...

We stayed at the wonderful Muxnaw Lodge while touring the Beara Peninsula in April 2013. We had heard wonderful things about the Inn and Hannah. All true, the rooms are large and comfortable, ours looked out over the water, the bathroom was bright and cheery. Breakfast was delicious with homemade muffins and bread, all served fireside in a lovely dining...

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Kenmare thanks to Hannah, our gracious hostess, who gave us many suggestions on what to see and what to do. We particularly liked the Wild Garlic restaurant and the breathtaking sights of the Ring of Beara without having to follow all the tour buses. The lodge was well maintained, a ten or...
