I was so excited to stay here since it was an actual thatched cottage. It looks exactly like the pictures and is adorable looking, inside and out. I would have given it 4 stars but it was my worst night in Ireland and I pretty much did not sleep. We were running behind schedule and arrived late, around 8 pm.... More

This was a unique B&B. From the road it looked charming with it's thatched roof, beautiful gardens, and colourful window boxes. The front door, a forest-green Dutch door, was open and welcoming. Approaching the front door we were greeted by Carmel our hostess, who invited us into the living room and offered us a cup of tea with biscuits...delightful! She... More

The hostess greeted us with tea and a warm smile. The breakfast was delicious. The owner's dog is very sweet, hug-able, and huge. The outside of the B&B was adorable. The owner is extremely talented with woodwork, and had created most of the furniture in the house, which gives the home a lot of character. The walls are very thin.... More

Great location, perfect for touring the Ring of Kerry, Dingle and the Beara Peninsula. Nice, characterful property with plenty of off-road parking. The wifi worked perfectly and the bathroom was fine, with a good powerful shower. Carmel is the perfect host, welcoming and extremely helpful with masses of tourist information on Kerry for her guests. Would recommend and would definitely... More

Nice place nothing to complain about. A little old could use an upgrade with wifi and other amenities, but it is the country so as to be expected. Staff was nice, room was nice food was good. Hard to find a little look for the road with the same name abd just keep going down the hill you can't miss... More

As others have mentioned, this is a great value for the money. It was the least expensive B&B we stayed at while we were in Ireland and was one of my favorites. Pros: The whole setting was quiet and charming. There is parking on the premises. The grounds are beautiful. The shower in this place was the best we had... More

What a great Irish B&B! Friends said the pictures we sent looked like something from a post card. Both the room and the breakfast were great. Would love to stay there again. It was about 5 minutes out of Kenmare, so it was nice and quiet.

We stayed here for two nights in May while we traveled the Ring of Kerry. Camel was very helpful in suggesting a route to avoid many of the buses. Breakfast was delicious and hearty. The bed was comfortable, the room was homey and clean. It was hard to say goodbye to this charming little place.

Lissyclearig Thatched Cottage is like something out of a fairytale. It is charming with quirky little artistic touches every where you look...so picturesque. When we stayed there were gorgeous flowers on the windows. The interior is lovely as well. Carmel is a warm and inviting hostess and very helpful. It's a little out in the country so it's not really... More
