We were a party of 6 spending 3 fabulous days in early November to celebrate the retirement of one of our friends, and boy did he celebrate!! Our welcome was warm and friendly. All the rooms at Belleek are unique and very impressive, spacious and with fantastic views over the woodland, where we enjoyed breathtaking walks along the Moy, taking... More

Dear Kathleen, Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback for our Castle. The colours around the Castle are beautiful at this time of year. With the bronze, golds, yellows and oranges you can feel the warmth as the look out over the forest. We have also been decorating for the festive season here in the Castle so with... More

I recently attended the launch of a new sports strategy here, an amazing setting, a throw back to ancient Ireland, the decor and detail was amazing! Food during our working lunch was distracting it was that good. Would love to visit for longer, award winning restaurant would be amazing to check out. I shall be back!

Stayed here for 1 night with my partner. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming from the minute we walked in the front door. Gorgeous log fire to greet visitors on arrival, personally shown up to bedroom by staff. Bedroom was very comfortable and roomy, 4-poster bed which was v comfortable, hairdryer and tea/coffee/water provided, bathroom was spotlessly clean with great... More

The food is on a next level of quality and taste. The acomadation is steeped in history and is located on vast acorage of woods, a river and a beautiful lawn. Well worth a visit. The lounge is warmed by a roaring open fire that transports you back in time.

Dear Clara, Thank you for your kind comments I am delighted to see you enjoyed your stay. Driving through the forest and up to the entrance you are immediately hit with the stunning neo-gothic architecture that is Belleek Castle. Built in 1831 you are taking back in time when you walk through the door. As you mentioned with warm welcoming... More

We had a fantastic time at our friends wedding, this place is magnificent. There is history behind it that you can experience in every room and it is beautifully presented from candle chandeliers to swan sinks in ladies toilets. Details are impeccable. staff is very attentive, some more then the other, but that's life, the manager/barman/host was the warmest. I enjoyed... More

Was here for a wedding quite recently. The building is beautiful, very medieval and really well thought out and put together. You have all the quirks of an old building, creaky floors and candles and knotty doors and old and elaborate wooden furniture. It has been really obviously lovingly put together and the owners have every right to be justly... More

We stayed for one night after staying in a few very disappointing places along the way from Dublin to the North of Ireland. We had a really great welcome at Belleek Castle. As we sat by the fire in our sapphire blue wing back chairs, the premier staff served us lunch on a mahogany table. Everything was top shelf. No exaggeration. My son's wedding was at Belleek and was fantastic! The castle and grounds were what I always imagined a manor house in Ireland should be and met all our expectations. We occupied all of the rooms and every room was very comfortable and well appointed. The food was gormet excellent.

Nothing unusual among Irish castles, but worth a visit. A bit off the beaten track so less crowded and commercialized. A good combination with the pottery if you are interested in fine Irish fancy tableware.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Belleek Castle....... an iconic Irish Country House, restaurant (AA 2 Rosettes), hotel and spectacular wedding venue…Belleek is unpretentious, cosy and friendly, rich in decor and antiquities, with open log fires to warm your steps back through this cultural adventure.Enjoy a contemporary dinner, with generous portions, in our unique light panelled dining room. We have developed a new food philosophy. Our spirit is to search for more “Depth of Flavour”, exercising both classic and imaginative cooking techniques. We use seasonal ingredients and produce, selected from the land, sea and air of Mayo, and combine these with the traditions of the Castle. However, our signature dish is a Castle classic, the "Drunken Bullock", a filet steak flambéed at the table and served flaming from a sword, adding theatre to succulent steak. Hand made oak tables, eclectic romantic music, lit by candlelight, with charming attention and delicious food.“One of the most atmospheric and delightful dining experiences in Ireland”, Bill Gooch, Virginia Beach.Guests may enjoy a private viewing of the Castle museum by appointment. Belleek Castle hosts The Marshall Doran Collection, the finest collection of mediaeval armour and Jurassic fossils in Ireland. How many times have I heard? “Oh my God!” or “Oh Gosh!”Belleek Castle...
