On an overnight trip to Ballyshannon I had the great good fortune of staying at Dorrians. I haven't been to County Donegal before but have stayed in many Irish hotels over the years, ranging from chic Dublin properties, to charming historic properties like Bantry House. Dorrians was right up there in terms of a friendly greeting, service, facilities, and a...

We went to Dorrians for Sunday Lunch today and from start to finish everything was first class. Anna, the waitress was friendly and helpful. There was a good variety of food on the menu and everything we received was 100%.

We had a wonderful stay in Dorrian's over the Easter weekend for a wedding with our two young kids. The rooms are large and well equipped with an ample en suite. We had a king size bed, single and plenty of room for a cot which Dorrian's supplied. The staff were extremely helpful and the Breakfast is great! Not the...

We recently got married in Dorrian's and it was perfect from start to finish. Mary Dorrian was always at the end of the phone or computer to answer any questions we had in a prompt and professional manner. We met a number of times to discuss the plans and she was always very accommodating. We had a full weekend for...

The hospitality at this hotel is second to none and you will be blown away with it. The staff literally couldn't do enough for you including giving a lift to the infirm to the stunning wee Thatch Pub at the top of the road. They even came on the bus and sang a song to send everyone on their journey...

This is a large charming, family owned hotel in the centre of the lovely town of Ballyshannon. One is welcomed by a warm fire in the main lobby area and that warmth is echoed by the staff and the owners. I stayed here recently and would gladly come back again in the not-too-distant future. The room I had was large,...

This is a very comfortable hotel with 20th century charm, and on entering one is welcomed by a hearty coal fire; surrounded by numerous stuffed (replica) dogs. The foyer and dining room areas are tastily decorated with local and Irish photos and some nice antique pieces. All of the bedrooms (on our ground floor corridor) along the front are designated...

This venue proved a real Winter Delight. I do love older hotels and I surely did not go wrong on this one. Parking is a bit tough though there is a carpark around the back with tight egress. I got a great spot on the street, however. My chambers were large and roomy with good matrasses. As it was January,...
