As you turn up the drive you enter another world of donkeys and assorted poultry - a scattered mini village including the country house and renovated out buildings - reminescent of the wedding scene in Mama Mia! Our bedroom was charming - well stocked bookshelf, high old fashioned beds, lovely toiletries and no telly. We had a wonderful 'chef's table'...

Visited this lovely venue for a wedding event recently and left some of my belongings behind. The staff were very quick to find and post forward to me - very helpful! It's a secluded, private venue with real charm and relaxed feel. Recommended.

Attended Barnabrow for a friend's wedding - absolutely loved it!!! If I was getting married again (don't tell my husband I said that!) I would definitely book Barnabrow. Staff were extremely attentive and the place has such a lovely atmosphere - it was so relaxed. The food was amazing and the layout of the venue is fantastic, so much nicer...

We got married in Barnabrow over the summer and it was such a magical day thanks to the beautiful East Cork venue and the excellent, attentive treatment we received from Geraldine and her staff. The food is exquisite and every detail of the meal and the day was planned personally with us to ensure our special day was exactly as...

Do not book this hotel for your wedding. The management are disobliging, uncooperative and treated the bride and groom as if they were getting their wedding for free. Lots of valuable props which they had brought to stage the wedding went missing and management couldn't care less. The locations for drinks and the reception are spread all over the place,...

We are most surprised and disappointed that you had a bad experience at Barnabrow particularly as we went to so much additional effort for your grand daughter's wedding. It is our aim that all of our guests leave having had a relaxing and memorable time here. Perhaps if you could contact us directly we could find some way to resolve...

My husband and I booked our stay the day before online. The day of we received a voice mail and email asking for our ETA which we gave as between 6-7 pm although we weren't sure as we were trying to get a lot of sights in. Their response "don't show up before 6:30 as no one will be there"....

I had my own wedding here recently. Great day, great weather, great place, food was unbelievable. All ran seamlessly. Would definitely recommend Barnabrow for any kind of a get together. Hoping to visit for a weekend away towards end of year, for a bit of peace and tranquillity! Thanks Barnabrow, we thoroughly enjoyed our day.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED this place. We stayed for a recent wedding and i was blown away by the whole experience. I have read some of the comments below and feel they are a little unfair. It is an old country house and that is the charm of Barnabrow. There are always going to be little glitches and quirks when...

We had lunch with friends today and it was excellent. Three had beef for main course and one fish. Starters were black pudding kinda salad which was great. the creme brûlée was to die for with the lovely shortcake biscuits. We had coffees and bottle of red wine. It was very reasonable and so the dining room was full. Service...

Recently stayed over at this house due to wedding attendance. Whilst the wedding and the reception dinner were very good we were unable to get a drink or snack prior to the event. This was disappointing as most guests had travelled from afar. The bedrooms were mediocre at best and certainly not worth the price paid. Small rooms that could...
