We stayed with friends for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house is lovely, set in picturesque Irish countryside, with views to the sea. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated, and the full Irish breakfasts were very good. We found hosts, Guy and Diana, to be hospitable and very helpful with planning activities and sights in the area....

We stayed at the Glen Country House for two nights in September and would have loved to stay longer. Downstairs has the easy comfort of a family home. Upstairs, our room was lovely with fine linens, a BEAUTIFUL view, and all the amenities we desired. Breakfast was excellent! We loved the location and took full advantage... We enjoyed short and...

The Glen Country House located near Kinsale is a wonderful place to enjoy the beautiful cost of Ireland. It is "Picture Perfect" ,exactly what I expected from a B&B in Ireland. The home was comfortably decorated and highlighted by various art pieces. Fresh flowers from their gardens were in all the rooms . I spent 2 nights here in the...

When I think of what an ideal B&B should be, I picture comfy beds with high quality linens, a homey atmosphere, a peaceful (but convenient) location, and most of all, a place that is appointed with personality, elegance, and flair (without being too kitschy). Glen Country House is that place!! My family went on a whirlwind trip to the British...

The Glen Country House was my favorite accommodation during the 9 days my husband and I spent in Ireland. Our room was wonderfully comfortable with a great en-suite bath and lovely view of the grounds. The unique french toast served at breakfast was the best I have ever eaten. My husband would say the same about the Irish Breakfast he...

Unfortunately we could only stay one night. But we loved it. The house is gorgeously decorated, (could easily go for a boutique hotel) in a beautiful surrounding, nice (and clean) comfortable bedroom and a wonderful breakfast, every thing so fresh and homemade, granola - french toast yammie, served by the very friendly host.

A far above average Bed and Breakfast establishment, lovely peaceful setting and an interesting old house still in the same family for generations, the latest of whom are doing a great job looking after their guests. The breakfast is a superb offering as good as any I have had anywhere. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the...

This small country house is listed in several of the guide books that list quality accommodation in Ireland, and deservedly so. The house, which dates to 1860, is in a 300 acre parkland setting and is impeccably and tastefully maintained and furnished. It has only 5 bedrooms, so we counted ourselves extremely lucky to get a booking for August bank holiday...

We stayed here for one night after leaving Kinsale. It is a lovely house. There was no tea or coffee In the bedrooms Which I found surprising for the price, and there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom while we were there. The atmosphere was not very friendly, however the views were lovely and the common room was very...

Lovely old farmhouse with great rooms and breakfast. Guy was very hospitable and spent time explaining the family history of the farm and giving directions to local places. What we will always remember most about this place was the breakfast--the pancakes were awesome! You should order them and see for yourself. Nice place and we would recommend it to anyone...
