We received a very warm welcome. The campsite is very clean and very spacious. The location just on the beach is absolutely amazing. There is tea and coffee and a table indoor to eat. The access is easy about 15min drive from Clifden.

Wow ... this campsite is simply the best. From the arrival of being shown around by Chris and his lovely wife to our 4 nights we spent at the site, it was incredible. The beach is stunning and the view is incredible. It has very clean showers along with a cute little kitchen space for cleaning and a sitting space...

We stayed here just last week for 3 nights, 2 adults, 2 children in our caravan. The location and people are what make this place special. Its beach and surroundings are so beautiful and the micro climate has you thinking your in portugal or spain while sitting on the beach. Its wild camping but with a socket - ideal for...

We fell in love with this place, so peaceful, in beautiful surroundings. Ran by a lovely couple Chris and Tatiana. It's not flash, or smart or laid out in neat rows-but that is the joy of being there. A couple of loos, a camp kitchen, a local farmer who comes by and leave fruit and veg for you to buy...

We first stayed in Acton's campsite in 2012 and have gone back every year since. The campsite is stunning and irregular.... Lots of places for children to run and hide. The beach is fantastic and the water is so refreshing!!! A walk over to Omey Island is a lovely adventure for children. Tatiana,Kris and their family are great hosts. We...

I'll let you into a little secret: from the first time I discovered this part of Ireland, I have kept a big place in my heart for beautiful, wild, mystical Connemara and this year, it was time to return there to recharge my batteries! As the poster in the campsite kitchen proudly proclaims, "He (Bear Grylls) calls it Man vs...

Another fantastic holiday in Actons!! Despite the weather being somewhat "seasonal" we all really enjoyed our two weeks camping. Thanks again to Kris and Tatiana for looking after us so well. Highly recommend anyone thinking of camping in the West or indeed Ireland. It is a must see place for campers.

Stayed here with 5 of my friends a week ago for a night as we had planned for an unexpected, adventurous drive to Connemara. Our host Chris was super awesome, friendly and peaceful. We went there only at 7.00 pm, even then he waited for us and helped us in accommodating. The place is well maintained and the beach is...

Our favourite spot to camp along the wild Atlantic way, Clifden ecobeach is a beautiful campsite where you can be tucked away in your own sand dune and wake up to beautiful sea views. The walk around the coast and out to the island is amazing and well worth the stunning views when you get to the island to explore....

It's quite a way out from Clifden and the facilities are a little basic, but when you get there, it's an amazing location. We had a pitch that was right on the dunes, with sea around us on 3 sides and fantastic views. You have to admire what they are trying to do here, ie. create an eco site. The...
