We stayed two nights at Glanleam House and enjoyed every minute. From the convenient and beautifull house, the stories of the owner for those who have an open ear, the tea and wine at the fire place and the best dinner and breakfasts we have had in Ireland (which were all good to very good but this was special). Mrs....

Our stay at Glanleam House was wonderful in all respects. Do go there, and don't be put off by reviews that do not take the trouble to ask the owner what she has tried to achieve with the place. The owner and her daughter (and grandchildren) were very welcoming and full of stories. The interior of the house is really...

Avoid at all costs. Whilst on Valentia island for a day trip we decided to visit Glanleam house and gardens as my mother is a keen gardener. The main gates were open and the ticket office unmanned so we continued up the lane to the main house where a watchful dog alerted the owner to our presence. We were presented...

This place is amazing, with a brilliant history and gorgeous grounds. There are 4 or 5 houses on site available to rent. As paying guests we found the owner "Meta", in her seventies, very helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant. I'm sure my opinion of her would be different if I were to be caught trespassing, wandering about outside of the car...

As previous comments 'Horrid owner", we ended up going in to grounds to turn around because the road down was impossible to turn round in. We did not even stop yet we had a women yelling at us and running after us. We just drove out. But, by the time we got to the gates she had locked us and...

We spent a great afternoon in these gardens. They are well worth the visit. And we found the owner delightful and helpful. We paid - I think - 10 euros for the entrance fee and it was definitely money well spent.

We stayed for 2 nights as part of our short tour of the Ring of Kerry. Meta was a very welcoming hostess and we loved the house and the way she has restored it. It has only 4 rooms and will not suit those who like modern smart hotels. However it's location overlooking the bay and the view we enjoyed...
