Liss Ard is one of Ireland's best kept secrets we came on it while traveling the south coast of Ireland and it was the best part of our trip. The restaurant is one of the best in the country without a doubt we arrived late enough but the staff were great and made sure we got dinner, I had monkfish...

Recently we celebrated our wedding anniversary at the restaurant in Liss Ard and this beautiful country house turned out to be a really gorgeous place for a special occasion. The restaurant is a lovely room tastefully decorated in calm colours. The staff were all pleasant and professional. The food was excellent; both delicious and innovative with little touches that made...

My wife and I had a superb meal with excellent wine last weekend, as we live close by ,we didn't stay but had a very pleasant evening nonetheless. The food is only a little more expensive than pub grub in town , but vastly superior. Shallot crisps are my new favourite.

We stayed here over a long weekend in one of the suites in the Country House. The house itself is very historic and beautifully preserved. It is set in expansive grounds along with converted mews style rooms adjacent and a Country Lodge within a few minutes drive away. Our room was spotlessly clean and large with views overlooking the gardens....

Absolutely amazing!! Received as a gift from a groupon voucher and added on a night! Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and breakfast was amazing! We had the keys to the sky garden all to ourselves! Would definitely come back!

Attended our wedding tasting meal in preparation for next June. We have been for afternoon tea on two other occasions. This place is a real hidden gem. So peaceful and tranquil. Helpful easy going staff who will do everything to make you feel at home. And an amazing head chef who turned an ordinary sounding dinner into an amazing treat...

Attended wedding in September. The food was excellent. Left a pair of gents new shoes in room and unfortunately hotel staff not able to locate them. So enjoy your stay but don't forget to pack all belongings. Surprised that this hotel would not have effective system in place to recover items left behind in room.

This was supposed to be the highlight of our trip but I found the place rather cold and unwelcoming. It lacked the charm I'd hoped for and the formal dining room was a strange combination of formality in very modern decor. There was no hot water for a shower. The gardens were lovely though.
