Our attention to Bantry House was caught by a programme on German TV 3 years ago. We both spontaneously said we must go there during our trip to Ireland. We eventually arrived at the reception by retracing our path after, on leaving Bantry Square, having originally gone straight past the arched stone Gatehouse which is just after the row of shops...

Staying here is really a unique experience. You get to explore the gardens and house after everyone else (day visitors) has gone for the day. The view of the bay is absolutely exquisite. I recommend walking all the way up the stone steps at the back of the property and taking in the view. The gardens themselves are otherworldly. What...

We stayed at the Bantry hotel during our tour of Ireland in 2016. The gardens and grounds are absolutely breathtaking. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is absolutely delicious. The charm, hospitality, scenery and ambiance is perfection. The Bantry house was my favorite place we stayed in all of Ireland. Didn't want to leave!

A beautiful place near the center of Bantry. Rooms are fantastic, and so the gardens, the living room and all the rest. Me and my wife spent an hour in front of the fireplace before going to bedroom. Wonderful service and wonderful family. Sure it is expensive but worth every cent.

I can add very little to what others have already written here about Bantry House, other than to say that it's all true. My husband and I stayed for three nights at the end of October and enjoyed it immensely. The house itself is very handsome and atmospheric. It is located in a wonderful setting overlooking Bantry Bay, with a...

Super comfortable bed, new bath with heated tile floor and heated towel rack plus a view of Bantry Bay Made this room exceptional. There is a small Honor...

We arrived late at night and were appreciative of the warm welcome and roaring fire and drinks in the library. Our room was on the top floor with an amazing view overlooking the stables and Bantry Bay. Easily one of our favorite rooms in Ireland which was updated and the furnishings beautiful. The pictures we have from our stay at...

Childhood home of Sophie Shelswell-White, she remains the general manager of the estate and accommodations. The estate is steeped in history, and the views are truly spectacular. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and it is a short walk to town. We explored the estate twice, once when we arrived, and again before we left. Staying here is like immersing yourself...

If I could give this a 10 star review I would! We had a very intimate wedding with 2 guests. Sophie was amazing with all her help and was really prompt answering all my email questions. The room we had was huge, beautiful, clean, and I totally felt at home. We had a 180 degree view of the bay and...

We booked a room at Bantry House and excitedly anticipated our stay there. It far exceeded our expectations. Our room was spacious and had dual views: one overlooking Bantry Bay and the other facing towards the gardens. Breakfast was delicious and was served in a very lovely lower room. We booked a private tour of the house with Sophie, the...
