The room was large, clean and comfortable. Double bed and single bed. Excellent quality of mattress and clean bathroom. Food was excellent and plentiful. Denis serves breakfast of huge proportions. Not far from town centre via shortcut - maybe three minutes. Be aware that there are steep steps involved if you take the shortcut! Friendly and helpful service. Tea/coffee available...

This was the most amazing place to stay. The owner even drove out and found me when I got lost when hiking! The breakfast is huge and delicious, the bed super comfortable, and it is very convenient to the pub and harbour

I have stayed in Island view many times with Denny as my family and I visit relatives in the area. Each time we come we are greeted with a welcoming smile not only be Denny and his family but also by the gorgeous family dogs. On our most recent visit we were shown the refurbishments that have been recently made...

Arrived on a Saturday afternoon for a 2 night stay to be met by the welcoming Olivia who made sure we settled in quickly with great recommendations for where to eat, rooms large and comfy, my only complaint was our room was a little smelly but manageable, actually when I raised it on checkout I was told the room was...

A very nice place to stay in a very interesting and beautiful part of Ireland. I was first welcomed by the friendly dog Bruno when I opened the door of my car and then by the manager of the B&B. Nice, clean and quiet room and good Irish breakfasts. An ideal base for hillwalking on the Beara peninsula and a...

Had a lovely welcome on arrival, we were disappointed not to meet the infamous Dennis, however his daughter Olivia more than made up for it. You couldn't get a more friendly hostess, nothing was to much trouble ("its no bother" was the catchphrase of the weekend!) and you made to feel most at home. The rooms were clean and had...

Dennis gave us a warm welcome after a long day of driving from Dublin. His breakfasts are legendary and hot breakfast dishes are cooked to order and delivered to your table. A variety of fruits, cereals, yogurts, breads, and cheese awaited us by 7:30 am and the coffee and tea were always available. Dining room is very comfortable. The house...

Our host was friendly, breakfast was very filling (I've never had bacon on pancakes before, and they were good). The bedroom was very clean and airy, and bed linen was particularly comfortable. Handy for town too - an easy walk back after a few drinks

Our room was very clean, but rather small and a little dated, although the shower was good. Our room was at the side and we slept well, although early leavers could be heard passing to the car park and to and from breakfast. The owner is friendly and welcoming and the B & B is only a short walk to...

A friendly home with welcoming host, looking out over the sea at Castletownbere. Ten minutes walk to the harbour and its restaurants. At a reasonable price you will find a nice room and a fine Irish breakfast.
