A good and nice place to have a Irish Guinness. If coming to this town it is a place we can say is one to go to. Friendly to me and my wife as a foreign man and woman. Did not eat, but drink was fine. Clean yes.

Cozy little inn situated near the Burren, after a day's outing it was nice to stop by and settle in here, enjoy a pint and warm up with a bowl of yummy hot Guinness stew, some beautiful smoked salmon and vegetable soup. As it was a very cold day, it was nice to sit down and relax with a crackling...

First off, I'm a foodie. When I travelled to Ireland last year I had a long list of restaurants and pubs to visit that I had researched for nearly a year in advance. I had a pint of Guinness at all of the popular spots (Brazen Head, The Long Hall, Guinness Brewery, and MANY more). The single best pint I...

Sean and his family run a wonderful pub right in the heart of Lisdoonvarna. It serves great food and it has the best soups and stews in Ireland. I would venture to say, one of the best stews I've ever had. The vegetable soup is wonderful. Expect your meal to be served by a great staff or Sean himself. Do...

This was the best beef and Guinness stew that I have had since coming to Ireland. Wife had fish and chip which were very crunchy the way we like it. Very friendly staff. Close to the Doolin Ferry and cliffs of Moher boat trips. Serve food all day. Mostly Irish pub food

We were passing by and decided to stop in for a bite. The place was absolutely immaculate. The food was excellent and the beer was cold! Great conversation with the host, presumably the owner. We did not stay here but wish we did. If the pub is any reflection on the accommodations, then I doubt there would be a better...

Lovely warm welcome on a cold February day when everywhere else in the area seemed to be closed for the season. We were really lucky to come across the Irish Arms. A beautiful pint, and very tasty chowder and toasties. Well worth a visit if you are in the area and want a pit stop.

I stayed in this Bed and Breakfast in Mid August. It was clean, comfortable and central. Shower Room was small but for the price I was not expecting luxuries but I must say everything was in this B+B including Tea and Coffee making facilities. I booked a twin room and got a Room with two double beds which were very...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Irish Arms is a small family run Pub, Restaurant and B & B situated in Lisdoonvarna, Co Clare. All of our spacious rooms are tastefully decorated, and we try our best to offer our guests all of the comforts they would be accustomed to at home. We have single, twin, and double rooms available. This landmark pub has been owned and run since 1990 by The McNamara Family. Our varied food Menu caters for most tastes, with a strong leaning towards Traditional Irish Food. We serve Soups and Chowders, Seafood and Steaks, as well as our famous Bacon & Cabbage, and Beef in Guinness Stew. Lisdoonvarna itself is famous for its Sulpur Spa Wells and the September Matchmaking Festival, not to mention the song by Christy Moore. We are an ideal place to stay while visiting North Clare's many famous tourist attractions, such as The Burren, The Cliffs of Moher, The Ailwee and Doolin Caves, and Aran Island Ferries (Discount for guests) all a short 10 minute drive away. We are conveniently located at the top of the town on the main Galway Road (N67) and only 200 metres from Lisdoonvarna Town Centre. We look forward to seeing you soon at The Irish Arms soon!! ... more   less
