This lovely home is the perfect base just outside the town.Nothing is too much bother for Mary and Brian the owners. They even gave us a lift into town inside of ordering a taxi. Very personal service and always a cup of tea. Wished we culd have stayed longer but will be back for sure !

I stayed in Cornamagh House with a group of friends as we were exploring the lakelands around Athlone. We had a wonderful welcome from Mary and Brian who own the house, and they could not have been more friendly or helpful. As one of our group said; "it's like staying with friends!" My room was cosy and comfortable, the public...

If Heineken made 'Guest Houses' and made 'Guest House Keepers' they would make Cornamagh House and Mary & Brian!! We were a group of 10 hobby photographers who blocked booked B&B for the first weekend of the Ballinasloe Horsefair and what a great surprise. We were treated more like family than guests. They worked as a team and were perfect...

Our second stay at Cornamagh House B & B, this stay was even better than in 2013. Hosts Brian and Mary always greet us with fresh tea and scones upon our arrival, and give us valuable counsel for sights in the area. Brian and his son Victor have extensive knowledge on local and country history. Mary's breakfasts are delightful. Gardens...

We had a wonderful stay here last weekend with my husband. Brian and Mary are very friendly, helpful and hospitable people. The accommodation is lovely, quite, spacious, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was very nice, catered to individual preference, as I don't eat meet, but Mary prepared a veggie omelette for me, which was very thoughtful. The house is very...

I stayed at Cornamagh House B&B for a prolonged period (6 months plus) whilst I was working in Athlone. Brain & Mary are the most welcoming, warm and friendly people-made me feel like I was apart of the family. They are attentive to the needs of their guest/s and make every effort to be helpful and accommodating- I cant speak...

We first stayed at Cornamagh House in 2003 and were very impressed with the welcome we received, the room in which we stayed and the service that was provided from the moment we stopped the car. We have returned, each year since, to stay with Mary and Brian not just because Cornamagh House it is the best B & B...

I had read a good review of Cornamagh House in Frommer's. A friendly local man helped us find our way to this lovely B&B. Brian and Mary are warm and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast fit for a king and queen. Brian was very helpful with a suggestion for dinner; and was willing to drive us in...

“The rooms at the front of the house overlook a lovely garden while the rooms at the back of the house look out onto fields where you can see the horses and sometimes cattle. Either side it quiet and the rooms are tastefully decorated.”
