We booked this B&B based on the excellent TripAdvisor reviews. The owners are indeed welcoming (coffee and cake), kind, knowledgeable and helpful. The B&B is located on the Beara Way, close to Glengarriff high street. It is within easy walking distance of restaurants, supermarket and the ferry to Garinish island. The breakfasts are historic with a full Irish and an... More

The location of this B&B in terms of access to things in town is terrific (on the main street - very close to restaurants and shops etc). The hosts were very welcoming and made a cup of tea for us immediately on arrival. They had lots of good suggestions on things to do. Breakfast was fairly typical for an Irish... More

After our warm reception with tea and delicious cakes, it just got better and better. Our hosts were warm, helpful, humorous, and solicitous of our every need. The breakfast was the best we've had in Ireland (England and Scotland too) - visually beautiful, delicious, and locally sourced. I would highly recommend a multi-day stay at Arches.

My overnight stay at Arches B&B was most enjoyable. A welcoming fresh cup of tea and a chat on arrival was much appreciated after a day on the road on my own. After a comfortable night's sleep I really enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast to begin my day. This B&B was close to the main road and all the eateries and... More

First advice: avoid room B on the 1st floor. I like travelling and I have been almost everywhere in Europe but this is the tiniest bedroom I have ever slept in. I believe it’s a single bedroom turned into a double. That’s all. Just one bedside table (no room enough for two). No room for luggage. Despite what my booking... More

We have enjoyed many, many B&Bs in Ireland, but, unfortunately this one we found to be sub-par for the 80 Euro price. Our room, on the second floor, was immaculate BUT quite small. . . although we believe it to be one of the largest in the building. Their beds seem to be the old fashioned small "doubles" instead of... More

Let's start with the fist "B" in B&B: My family stayed two nights and it was great! Beds felt brand new. Super clean. The location was great it was right at the start of the Ring of Beara. And now for the second "B" Best breakfast we had our entire trip. That's says a lot because they were all good.... More

We were welcomed by Rosina with tea and delicious home make cake. Our room was comfortable and the bed large and everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was special with a variety of fresh fruit, followed by a well presented platter of meats, cheese and fish. Any combination of hot food was also available and freshly cooked (if one had room!)... More

This is in an excellent location with friendly hosts and a great breakfast. We did not feel the room was as good as some others we have stayed in. Creaking beds , TV had poor reception and thin walls meant it did not get five stars for us. However overall ok and good value
